Delicious food and fast service! The onigiri is also perfect for a quick to go meal!

Great food! However, the place was a bit small and we had to wait a bit. Make sure to go earlier to get a spot.

A hole in the wall that should be bordered up. Very poor customer service. Dismissive and uncompassionate about how they treat their customers. The food is subpar and unauthentic tasting. The restaurant lacks originality. And the staff don't interact with kindness and just want you to hurry up and leave.

This place was so great that me and my family have been here 4 times. Their curry is so good that I have had that multiple times when I went there. I can go there any day of the week. It is tricky to find because it does not have a sign and it is behind the Mexican restaurant. I will be coming back here multiple times over the weeks.

Honestly pretty good Japanese food!
The fried pork cutlet is now only half of its original size, half of it. It’s really a huge saving, the price is the same as before. Never go again.

The website has many broken links and doesn’t load, so unable to view the menu. Not sure if this is because I’m on mobile, but please fix links so customers can online order and see what’s on the menu. I would suggest having more Instagram presence too for this location.

Saw this place online and I couldn’t wait to try. The first time I ordered a tonkatsu curry rice. The curry was great, and the tonkatsu was pretty big. However, maybe because the tonkatsu pieces were big, they were dry. Dipping them in the curry helped a bit. Wifey ordered a karaage curry udon. I thought the karrage was pretty good. Just wished they had draft beer. Even if it was the basic Sapporo or Asahi one, I would have been satisfied.
The 2nd time of visit, I ordered a Buta Doria, with ground pork and mushrooms. Yes, I had to wait 20 minutes, but it was all worth it. It was a huge dish! It was enough for 2-3 meals. Plus, it was very cheesy and rich so that I couldn’t eat a lot of it either. I wanted to order the beef croquettes, but they were out so I had to pick potato croquettes instead. They were tasty and I would order again. Wifey ordered the Menchi Katsu (2 deep fried beef burger) Curry Udon, but what she really wanted to order was the Tegone Cheese in Hamburg (beef), basically cheese within a huge beef patty. We didn’t know until the food came. Oh well, there’s always next time =P
Most of the food was great so 4.5 stars. There really isn’t a curry place like this in Tri-valley anymore. Given the uniqueness of this place, rounded up to 5 stars.

It's a solid choice if you're craving any type of katsy curry or curry dish. You walk in and place your order around the counter. Menus are right by the register. It's open seating and you just look for a table. Self serve water as well. As soon as we ordered, our entrees came out within minutes. I think we barely sat down and the server was already walking it over to us. They are busy in that kitchen cranking out katsu!
The serving can be good for two people depending on how hungry you are. We only tried the chicken and pork katsu but they offer a number of other items as well. You can also add different toppings to spice it up. We kept it simple. Their curry is more on the watery side, but flavorful. The restaurant is a bit sterile. Not much to it. Seating was fine on a Sunday afternoon, but could be hard to find tables during a busier time.

honestly, first and only experience there in Jan 2024, waited about an hour and 20mins for our meal from after we ordered at the counter. It was not that many people in the store; most of them already have their food, and we were the next one in line when we arrived. The food itself is not that surprising, and the wait definitely contributed to this unpleasant experience. Most likely will not return.

Excellent food, long waits and bad service. Been to this place a few times, and they have forgotten my order both times. I have seen people order after me get their food way before me.Be ready to wait 40 minutes for curry.Sad part- it’s good. Not sure why the bottleneck is so bad to get food out from the galley :(
