We tried the Dublin location and everything was so good, we had to write a review. All the food was excellent and what we really liked was our cook, Becky, who prepared everything perfectly and quickly. At another teppanyaki company, they took so long that the earlier food got cold by the time we got everything so we really appreciated our cook's expertise. A+ to him and Hana Japan! Thank you for a great experience.
Food and service was very good. I didnt care for seating arrangement. You were seated around chef with up six other people you dont know.
Everything you expect from a real Japanese restaurant you can find in this place. The food is incredibly delicious, the service is top notch, the chef who prepares the food in front of you is funny and very well received by children and brings you an unforgettable culinary offer. The only thing that could be improved is the ventilation, also in my opinion it is very hot inside. But that's just me.
Very nice place to have a great family time.
Great trained stuff.
I recommend this place.
Came here tonight for a birthday dinner (which was specified in the reservation) and needless to say that we will not be returning. We will drive the extra 30 minutes to Benihana. The only reason why we chose this restaurant was because we wanted to support a family-owned business. That said, just because you are a family-owned business doesn’t mean you can let your service completely slide.
We arrived, seated, and found out they did not carry any gluten-free soy sauce. Not even one or two bottles in an entire restaurant? We ended up going to the nearest store to buy some. Our food was quickly prepared and cooked, but we had to specially ask for sauces. They weren’t going to bring it out until we asked.
Food was okay, extremely salty to the point where some things were inedible. By the time the bill came, we just wanted to pay and leave because at no point were we checked on by the waiter to see if we needed anything else. After paying, we realized they did not honor their birthday discount. I brought it up to the manager’s attention and he threw out the “family-owned” card and proceeded to ask if anyone checked an ID. That is not my responsibility to ensure they follow their process. I also said we never received a dessert or having an option to choose a dessert. After waiting another 5-10 minutes we decided to leave.
Needless to say, we will not be back. Our bill was an equivalent of a month’s’ groceries for an average family. It is A LOT so it’s extremely disappointing when the service is absolutely horrendous.
I recently visited Hana Japan with my family, and we had a blast! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was so welcoming. Our chef was super entertaining, showcasing impressive skills while cooking everything to perfection. I loved how interactive the whole experience felt, and the flavors were incredibly vibrant! This is more than just a meal; it's what a Japanese steak house should be. Definitely coming back!
Hana Japan was wonderful...we had 8 people in our party for my son's 10th Birthday. They were very accommodating.

If you're hungry, don't go to this place. You will sit with strangers and they will put on a ridiculously dangerous show in front of you! Terrible food btw. Avoid!

Food was good. A bit over priced. We got the lazy guy. He didn't do much.

We had a family birthday dinner this evening and the server was good, the chef was awesome, but the hostess was missing a personality and manners. She didn’t greet us with a smile when we arrived, it was painful to try and converse with her. She didn’t bother to say thank you, after we paid our $500 bill. I don’t think we will be going back again. The prices have gone up and the portions are smaller. It’s not the same as it was 5 years ago. Very disappointing. They herd you into the restaurant, and shove you out the door as soon as you put your fork down. Not to mention, if you bring your own birthday cake, there’s an additional charge per person. Time to move on…

We sat 50 minutes before we had any service other than water. Sunday night overbooked.. Hana management now charge for any fried rice, so the bill is extraordinarily high with mandatory service charge and the food quality has become as bad as the sticky tables. The only thing worse than this restaurant now is how Open Table steals some of your points expire. I lost 5000 points from OpenTable, which really sucks because I didn't redeem the points in time !!
I've been coming here a few years and the food and service is good! I always have left overs when I come here

I love it here, the service from the hostess to the cooks at the table are great. I come here very often, it's one of my favorite places and I have never had a bad experience. The food taste great too!!
Enjoyed my birthday dinner with visiting daughter, son-in-law and grandsons. Food was excellent, as was service and prices appropriate for what was offered we all had a good time and a good meal.
Ventilation was horrible - very smoky. Food was inconsistent- shrimp was good as were the shrimp tempura. When we first were seated we were asked if we wanted a drink - that was the only time we were asked. We won't be back - too expensive for what you get
