Stopped in for a quick bite before running errands in the area. There was no one inside and no AC for a 90° day! Some tables still had left over plates with food on them, unsure how long the mess was sitting out. The waiter was sitting against the wall and on his phone the entire time and one guy was behind the register biting his nails. The waiter brought out my side salad first, but no utensils. I politely asked for utensils, he said "Oh yea" then proceeded to scratch his neck and head while grabbing utensils and a plate. The order took a while to come out, I got 1 sushi roll, zero customers inside. I was super hungry, otherwise I would've walked out.
Sanitary of the food is questionable and the lack of attention to customer(s) was horrible. Gave one star because I usually get sushi here, but heard it was under new management. The eel on my Dragon roll was gummy/chewy?!
Update: felt nauseous with stomach aches while running errands, just got home.. definitely got food poisoning within a few hours! Yikes!

I just got a great DISAPPOINTMENT at this restaurant!!! ? they got new owners, supposedly same menu. We still ordered what we used to order two years ago and back but once I walked in the Ladies restroom to wash my hands, I saw several roaches ? ???? and I just walked out and went directly with the server and told him to cancel our order. We were not willing to eat at this place anymore right after seeing these bugs. We are now so hungry and disappointed! ? all the great memories we had from when we used to eat here were gone!!! We’re not coming back!!! ??

I just spent alot of money here from a doordash order and it came with no napkins or chopsticks.. this is so disappointing when you spend alot of money and can't get the bare minimum. The message is clear they don't care about their customers. Also the sushi was so soggy and not very good.

The prices are decent but the sushi is just mediocre. The customer service is terrible. The cooks complained when we ordered 5 sushi rolls. When we left, a family member called and requested one more roll, so we ordered. They complained about us ordering 1 roll after paying. Overall not a very friendly place.

I was craving GOOD sushi for a decent price, and that’s what I found at Kanpai Sushi in Dublin. Their menu is huge and the prices range from the low end to the high end. The gentleman serving us was super friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We ordered several rolls and a couple of deluxe combo meals. It was all delicious. Also some of the rolls have funny names. The “stupid roll” was actually really tasty. :)

My family walked in when it was completely dead and you would think the staff would be welcoming but from the get-go, it was a dry welcoming. An older gentleman was on his phone scrolling and when he finally realized we wanted to dine in, he seemed annoyed that he had to get off his phone to seat us. He never got our beverage order so we had to ask for it AFTER we placed our food order. Server did not come and check on us and we had to flag him down to get refills or condiments. Overall horrible service and service wasn't even doing the bare minimum. At the end we decided to not leave tip and paid with cash. Server assumed the change was his tip and didn't come back with the change. The service at the Antioch location is 10x better. I would think being in a city like Dublin the service would be at a high standard but not at all. I will not be returning. Hopefully establishment will take this feedback and do some retraining.

It's an okay place to eat. Nothing special, really. A couple of things that stood out to me were that the men's bathroom ran out of soap. My sushi had a bone in it, which tells me that the chef does not have an attention to detail.
A little pricey but the sushi was one of the best i had. Their hot sauce was nice too!

Not a bad spot for lunch. I stopped here during a recent work trip. The service was friendly and prompt. The place had a very “mom and pop” vibe about it. My server was very nice. I selected a teriyaki salmon lunch combo which included a small salad, rice and miso soup. The portion of salmon was surprisingly large. I was a little worried when my meal came out because the salmon had so much sauce on it. But thank goodness the sauce did not over power the salmon. I also ordered a caterpillar roll. Overall the food that I ordered was good; nothing mind blowing but I was satisfied. The prices were reasonable for the area.

This place is delicious!!!! I got the unagi meal and some rolls. Clearly a small family business. They remembered my order from the last time I visited over a month ago. Instead of going to a chain, please think about supporting you local small business.
