Overall an average experience. We wish to experience the “Low floor dining” at Khyber Pass Kabob, but unfortunately kids are not allowed in that and there was a already a group and that’s it. All others sits in the table.Initially when we got the table, there were only few tables occupied and only one person was taking orders. After taking orders, it took around around 30mins to get the appetizer and main dishes were coming after some more time.We liked the “Mantoo” appetizer and “chicken kabob” entree, “Quabili Pallow” was average(bland flavor).I would recommend to try their Chicken Kabob and Mantoo for others, but not the dining experience.

The food was spectacular, my first time having Afghani food. The Bolani was great as an appetizer, and the leftovers were great the next day as well, warmed up in the oven or lightly fried in a pan. The Chapli Kebabs were phenomenal, I wholly recommend them, and the Qabuli Pulao with lamb.

Generally, our family loves Afghani food so when we were in Pleasanton, we had to try this restaurant since it was highly rated. Restaurant looked nice and authentic with good vibes and authentic decorations. Staff was nice. Our orders took about 20 mins to arrive. Food tasted ok. Kabob and mantoo was pretty good. I was not a big fan of the lamb curry. Issue was the cleanliness. One of the plates came not clean, was dirty on the side but staff fixed it when we pointed out. At the end of the dinner, we saw a small roach crawling on the table and that was the end of it. We left right after. It was not pleasant at all :(

I recently visited Khyber Pass Kabob in Dublin, and it was a memorable experience. The restaurant's ambience immediately struck me as both authentic and warm, making for a welcoming atmosphere. The service was exceptionally friendly, adding to the overall pleasant dining environment. As for the food, it was an authentic Afghan delight. I tried the Chicken Kabob, which was succulent and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the aromatic Basmati Rice. The Lamb Shank and Ground Beef Kabobs were also recommended by fellow diners, and they did not disappoint. The portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying meal. What stood out to me was not only the quality of the dishes but also the variety. Vegetarian options like the Badenjan in the vegetarian platter were equally impressive, offering a well-made and substantial meal for those preferring plant-based dishes.Khyber Pass Kabob truly deserves its high ranking among Dublin's restaurants. Whether you are new to Afghan cuisine or a seasoned aficionado, this restaurant is a must-try. The combination of delicious food, warm ambience, and friendly service makes for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon!
