Stop supporting these types of awful businesses. High price, bad service and mandatory tip. Also avoid Chinese restaurants that over charge you instead of the menu price. Always check your receipt!

I ordered duck combo and they changed it to chicken without letting us know. The response was “but you liked it,right?.I said I preferred duck, but they didn’t care.

Best authentic HK Cantonese style cafe food. Super clean restaurant. Best in the Bay Area.

There is a 16% service charge. We ordered Baked Beer Steak in Black Pepper Sauce over Rice with Cheese, Farm Raised Hainan Chicken with Soup, Kois Seofood Pan- fried Crispy Noodle, roasted duck, and some beverages. The place was quite busy even during off hours.

Food is authentic Hong Kong Cantonese food and is delicious. BUT I would only get take out cuz I’m not paying for the ridiculously unreasonably high mandatory post-tax service fee.

I placed the order online asking for rice noodles. When picking up, I was given the yellow noodle, and they insisted that they did not get my special request and refused to remake it! Horrible customer service! Never come again!

Food (small portions) & service is good. 16% service charge is added to bill. With food + 16% service + tax + tip; its pricey. Forcing customers to pay the 16% is upsetting. I'd rather go to different restaurants.

Been coming here for well over a decade now! Food has been consistently delicious over the years and the restaurant is actually more of HK Cafe these days which is perfect since those are pretty rare in the pleasanton/dublin area. Food is a bit pricey (honestly all Chinese food is pricey these days for some reason) but at least the quality here warrants it in my opinion. The waitress aunties are super friendly and attentive and the interior is clean and modern (recently remodeled). However sometimes when it gets busy, which it often does during peak hours, the food can take a bit longer to come out. I feel like they are slightly understaffed. Some of my favorites: I love how they put baby octopus in their baked seafood rice. They also do a somewhat different take on the chili oil wonton and its insanely good. For drinks, their HK milk tea, lemon tea, and red bean ice are on point!

I'm glad Koi Palace Express is located so close to where I live.I ordered the Hainan chicken that is served with their onion-gingered flavored rice and herbal chicken soup.Good ingredients were used to make the dish and the price is fairly reasonable.I will return to try other items. If you would like a high quality authentic Hong Kong meal, this is the place you should visit!

My first visit and we ordered two main dishes. I loved the farm raised fresh Hainan Chicken with Rice and soup. Might be the best I've had in a long time. The hint of lemongrass in the rice added a beautiful aroma and brightness that makes you want to eat more and more. Definitely will come back to try other items on the menu. Small things like having extra sauce on the side of the three meats BBQ plate or three different dipping sauces for the chicken plate was fun to eat. Love places that serve a simple yet elevated hong kong style cafe foods. Bravo Koi Palace, you have won me over again.

Been coming here for 14 years. Food is one of the best amongst all the Chinese restaurants in the tri valley. The price is reasonable, they add the 16 percent but servers are courteous and advise that it is optional if you want to add a tip. Milk tea is always strong and smooth. Batini (supervisor) and all the newer servers are all hardworking people. Kindly treat them with respect their service is always good even when they are busy, and they are always busy.Worth noting, during COVID like all other restaurants, they increased their prices, this is the only restaurant that lowered their prices again after the pandemic 6 months ago.

I seldom give negative reviews. Actually, this may be the first negative review I have ever given! I ordered a 燒鴨瀨粉, it came with 3 big pieces of the duck neck portion, bones wrapped in fatty skin! Plus another 3 small pieces with a very thin layer of meat sticking between bones and fatty skin. We told the waitress about it, but she was indifferent. When the bill came, 16% service charge was automatically included, no wonder she didn't care. Very disappointed, will not go there again.

I like their food and services. In Dublin, this is probably the one of the hood ones I'd recommend and take my friends and families there.
