First time ever on Hot Pot adventure. Opted for Best of both worlds with spicy and mushroom soups. Both were delicious. There are lot of protein options in the buffet, anyone with no food restrictions will enjoy to the fullest. We mostly sticked to Lamb & couple of seafood items. Lamb Skewers & Lamb Shank stood out as must try delicacies.Only disappointment was that the server not understanding my inquiry on Anniversary celebration offering . Not sure if it was me or his understanding of English. Despite various attempts & rephrasing, the guy to my surprise doesn't understand the words "Anniversary", "Wedding", "Wedding day", "Wedding Anniversary", "Celebration", etc. Other than that no complaints.

Our party got Best of Both Worlds with one soup base being spicy and the other broth being mushroom. Definitely fulfilling, I recommend going to an all you can eat hot pot at least once a year.Because of how much protein options there are at the bar (including meat), we might try not ordering additional meat next time.

having had multiple hot pot places before I must say that the happy lamb, hot pot is very good. This was my first time trying a bone marrow type of broth and if you guys are not that familiar with this type of broth, me personally, I get tongue numbness after I eat this broth, but this may not be for everyone. Just a heads up. The broth was very flavorful. They do give you a ton of meat when you order, although it is unlimited, their proportions are very big, they aren’t so strict about not finishing or wasting food because of this which does make a lot of sense and I respect that. The place was just crowded. Overall, we had to wait 25 minutes to get in which I can understand. The place was busy and the service took a while to get us our waters and get an order going. the salad bar is located at the front where people wait to get seated so you are constantly crammed between a queue of people and trying to get some fixings. The cool part was that it was all you can drink water and soda as well. If you are not familiar with this place, they have two options. There is a cheaper option of 6 to 8 meets and then there is a premium meat selection option which offers a great deal of flexibility for your budget.

Delicious broth. AYCE with quality ingredients. Fast service.Baked lamb legs were to die for. Lamb skewers were incredible. Seasoning tastes just like found at the street food carts in China. Definitely worth a stop!

Solid AYCE hotpot place. Not fantastic, but you gotta set your expectations correctly for the east bay. They currently offer the basic menu for $20 (for lunch) and $29 (for dinner), and the premium menu for $36 (both dinner and lunch). We got here on a cold Sunday night around 5:30pm and arrived at the same time as 2 other parties! Shortly afterwards, a huge line formed by the door. So certainly going earlier is better. They have an iPad at the front with Yelp waitlist -- sign your party up there since they seem to go by the waitlist even when the restaurant is not completely full.General info:Tons of parking in the parking lot out front so no need to worry about that. However, this restaurant is not nearly as big as it needs to be, especially in the communal areas where people are getting food (especially because the entrance line ALSO forms around there if it's cold out and everyone wants to wait inside). Additionally, stands are put up next to each table to hold their meat, so you have to channel your inner temple run whenever you walk from your table to the self-serve area. It's not terrible, just slightly uncomfortable and you may have to wait a couple minutes to get your items.Service:The service is polite and attentive (they asked us multiple times if we needed meat). Not terribly friendly, but that's not what I need from a hotpot restaurant.Food:We always get the best of both worlds broth selection because we love the spicy broth flavor, but need to balance it out occasionally with the original. The AYCE includes a decent amount of food included some cooked food like fried chicken, egg fried rice, etc. Lots of veggies and mushrooms too, and I love the quail eggs + all the different tofu options. They include marinated garlic beef in that area, so don't waste one of your 3 meat plate orders on that item. The dessert area consisted of sesame balls (quite dry), fried mantou with condensed milk (not bad), and a soft serve ice cream machine with chocolate, mixed, and vanilla flavors. I got the mixed flavor and it was very icy. My husband said the vanilla was creamier. We never got the premium meats so I'm not sure how that section pans out, but we've been happy with the meats we've gotten on the basic menu (we've only tried the beef, pork, and lamb). I would not advise getting the "special lamb bone" for the actual meat, because the meat consists of just whatever tiny flecks of meat didn't come off whenever they cooked it earlier. If you're just getting it to put in your soup for flavor, then go for it!

Wonderful ayce hot pot. We love Happy Lamb. It does tend to get busy during lunch hour before their break. I'd suggest going before the peak hours.

We love this place and come very often, just very annoying that they close 2:30-5pm because we travel so far for this place and don’t always want to come during the dinner/lunch rush.

Chaotic neutral. It’s serviceable and food is decent but the way the self serve bar is set up is not the best location. Seems sub optimal to have it near the door where people waiting are staring at the folks who are grabbing the food and people getting the food can only get it from one side of the bar and it’s backed upAlso kinda stupid that they charge a dollar for the sauce bar, when they already charge for the AYCE optionFood is decent tho and there is a lot of selection of stuff to eat. Should definitely go for the toasted buns with condensed milk tho. That is absolute fire

The wait time is absolutely insane. The wait was over an hour before we just left.

My first bite into the chicken from the buffet (not the wings) had a huge bone, the meat seemed subpar, rice undercooked, servers were a bit rude to my family when trying to find a seat for us. The buffet didn't seem very well kept or clean, labels were all over the place and I with dietary restrictions was afraid I would eat the wrong thing. The soup itself was good, hot and flavorful. Unfortunately, the experience didn't work for me but if you like hotpot you might like this. The actual setup was not great, not much room to walk around since they had little stands where they put the meet for you instead of on the table itself, making walking space limited.
