Win Win Win ! ! Best Eggs. Benedict in the East Bay, hands-down, .. conclusion after visiting eight other restaurants for Eggs Benedict in the East Bay... best homemade hollandaise sauce made from scratch with fabulous color and taste texture, fresh lemon juice!! No mixes doctored up here very authentic I'm happy I listen to the positive yelps on their eggs Benedict,.. each time I have a different version sometime with spinach and fresh mushrooms perfectly poached eggs perfectly!! sometimes Canadian bacon sometimes just bacon. All of their meat. Portions are fabulous and delicious. Just go there and try the eggs Benedict you'll come back for sure. All my guests are thrilled when they go there. most of us crave the hollandaise sauce and sometimes we'll just go and get a carry out to take home of nothing but the hollandaise!! Also, the fresh fruit is cut that comes in. It doesn't get any fresher. I have them cut a bunch of fruit to take home. Excellent can't say enough service is wonderful. They go out of their way to make you feel like you're family. When I'm ready to leave.. always so thoroughly satisfied, I lean into the kitchen area to tell the guys what a fabulous job they did on the Benedict!! They're very appreciative. With regards to the ambience I'm used to old diners so to me this is just another old-fashioned diner and I believe has been in that location for at least 30 years. Same employees. The most frustrating part is they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I go there for the incredible cravings I have when they're closed on Monday and Tuesday they just brings me back on Wednesday!! I refer, guests Often they are thrilled with the eggs Benedict. I can't really speak to anything else on their menu because I can't seem to get beyond the Benedict but I'm told that they're waffles and omelettes are delicious. Just have them make the way that you want them. You'll be totally satisfied. Also ask for the hashbrowns to be well done and try that fresh fruit

Good food and quick! You need to try it once there nice and friendly. I love breakfast there and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to eat there!

Zac's was recommended by some friends, but we were disappointed. Food - meh- except for hash browns which are nice and crispy. Food is generally greasy. The vegetarian pita sandwich is a rip off - small enough to fit in the palm of my hand - looked like a half portion, served on a tiny plate with nothing else. Omelettes are nothing fancy, just eggs with toppings cooked in a lot of oil. What is outstanding is the service and friendliness of the staff - that would be 5 stars, and the food is 2 stars. Ambiance is kind of cute with all the old photos on the walls, old school diner as others have mentioned. We normally like to support small, hole-in-the-wall establishments. However, we will not be back.

Love this gem. It's a small mom and pop type place. Service is great. You can tell the employees have been there for years and it adds to the charm. Love the eggs Florentine, waffles, BLT, hash browns and fries.

This hidden gem is a bit small, and thus crowded at times, but it’s worth it. It’s a bit of a greasy spoon sort of diner, but the food was delicious and everyone was friendly! What more can you ask for? Will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

I was going to go to IHOP on a Saturday morning, to find them absolutely overrun. I looked up other places to eat on Google Maps and found this place. The wait time for IHOP was 20 minutes so I decided to walk over here instead, even though it was raining. I found it relatively empty, with a few people eating there who addressed the wait staff there by name. Ordered the porker with linguica. Your typical hole in the wall type diner. It's pretty affordable as far as Bay Area food goes. Pure Americana. Would highly recommend

Zac's Cafe was a surprising find for us. We'd seen it many times before in Yelp but never thought to try it. It's located in quite an unexpected spot - well for us - they've been there a while. The food was tasty, the ambiance comfortable, and the staff welcoming. Our family had a great time. We all sat, laughed, ate, and chatted for an excellent breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful, and one of the senior staff (perhaps and owner) also came by to give us some history as we were remarking on some of the wall decor. I'd definitely call this a hidden gem in Dublin for the overall experience - I don't now how many people have tried out Zac's, but if you are reading this, I wouldn't hesitate. Do note.... Emphasis on the overall experience - not specifically any one area of the meal!

Best french toast in the tri-valley area! We've been coming to Zac's for 14 years and it's consistently one of the better breakfast options around. The food quality is solid, the service is good enough and the prices are fair. It's a little dated inside, but we actually like the classic cafe look and feel. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Zac's Cafe felt incredibly comfortable, like a warm embrace of old school American diners. I ordered their vegetable omelet, and it was a yummy. Fresh ingredients and generous portions made the meal even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be returning to explore their other dishes next time!
