Dulzura is truly a gem of a vineyard. Its no-frills approach is refreshing. Turn off the main road and cross the creek and you're greeted with a quaint, rustic winery. Grant and Sarah are wonderful people who are passionate about the work that they do. Their wines are excellent and they pour with open hearts. Grab a glass or a bottle and head to the back where you can enjoy mountain views. My favorite wines here are generally any of the reds and if you're sticking to white -- the Riesling is phenomenal.

Stopped by on our way back to San Diego. It was like pulling into an oasis. We were immediately greeted by Grant, who led us through some tastings of phenomenal wines and great conversation. Unfortunately we only had carry-on bags and I took the chance of bringing a nice ‘23 Viognier back to the Mrs. Cut to tonight: The bottle is empty and she (we) are both extremely happy with my choice. Now planning to take a vacation to Dulzura and bringing bigger suitcases! You cannot miss this vineyard and winery; but hands off the Viognier because I plan to buy more. Note to Google: Why are we limited to only five stars?

We stopped by this villa by chance, pointing a finger at Google, and did not regret it! From San Diego on Saturday morning we arrived in 30 minutes. The wine is phenomenal, and, not unimportantly, with history. The owner of the winery spoke in detail about each type of wine, allowing us to try the ones we asked for. We took a couple of bottles, but I have a feeling we’ll be back again)

We came from out of state and found this vineyard on Google Maps. Being that that is how I found it, I cannot leave CA without writing a 5-star review for the owner, Grant.My husband and I were the only ones in the tasting room when it opened and this allowed us to have a nice tasting and good conversation with Grant.We left with very fresh olive oil, dessert wine and 2 bottles of wine. Having been to Sonoma 6 mos ago, we enjoyed Dulzura very much for the feel of a smaller and more intimate experience. Thanks Grant!
