Cape Fear Café is a hidden gem that serves more than just diner food. The menu features unique dishes such as cornmeal crusted fried oysters, which are perfectly cooked. The restaurant provides great food and warm service, accommodating to guests' needs, even when circumstances change. The seafood hot pot is a generous and delicious portion, and the prime rib special is a highlight, served fresh from the oven. The homemade hollandaise sauce on multiple eggs Benedict options adds to the charm. The veggie and regular burgers are good, and the fries are exceptional. Under new ownership since summer, the café still awaits its liquor license, but the friendly staff and delicious food make it a great place to stop for a casual meal on the way to the coast. The café is well worth a visit, especially with reasonable prices considering the ample portions.
