Took forever to give us our order when the restaurant was empty and the salsa they gave us tasted like it didn’t work anymore

This place is great and something I've been wanting to try for awhile and glad I didn't finally.

I had their barbacoa tacos guisados which was very tender and with cheese added. Their salsa bar added a lot to flavor to it and the barbacoa was very tender. Their chikali taco comes with beans and guacamole and I got it with carne asada. The asada was charred very well and seasoned very well also. The beans went well with it and were not soggy. The staff was very nice and helpful in describing what was available, popular, recommended and what they thought it should have.

There's some seating next to their shop which is convenient. Their agua frescas was very good also according to my friend. It was his favorite place so far when I took him the multiple taco joints in east LA.

I'd come back here to try their breakfast/chorizo items

Wasn’t my favorite stop. The asada Al carbon taco was very dry and 20% gristle. Very small portion as well. The beef and potato guisado was a bit better but nothing special to me. At lunchtime a lot of the guidados especially the egg ones didn’t look great in their holding bins. $3.25 for their plain taco should be better.

It's not bad at all
if you would like to try some Mexican guisados, this is the place to stop by.

I had 4 tacos, and 1 was chicharron ,1 papas con chorizo, and 2 carne desebrada.
They served with beans and flour tortilla hand-made.
I didn't have a chance to take a picture because I was starving, but yeah.

Handmade flour tortillas like grandma use to make with various options to fill those delicious melt in your mouth tortillas. They are not stingy with the portions. It's by far one of my favorite taco spots in LA. Enjoy 😉.
