We literally take every single visitor from out of town, to this place! Our guests can go see the Golden Gate Bridge on their own, they can take in the whole of the city, but the one thing we insist on doing with them, is a visit to "the best ice cream anywhere."
Tip: Las Delicias is a Mexican Paleteria and NeverÃa aka dessert and ice cream shop. Previously, you'd have to trek to San Jose, San Mateo or Redwood City so it's nice to have an authentic place near Palo Alto. While the most well known desserts are the Mangoneada (cut mango, ice, chamoy powder) and Fresas Crema (strawberries and cream), there an extensive menu of choices including some savory options. Parking is crazy in this lot. Desserts must be good because there was a line. But I didn't get to try because the wait was too long and we didn't have a legal parking spot!
