We used to be regulars at Zip, going in almost weekly for KBBQ. We would bring friends and family to our (used to be) go to spot. That loyalty apparently means nothing now.
Recently, we were told that no matter how large the party or how much we order, we’re only allowed two egg pots or tofu soups. Why? Because of egg prices. That’s right, even if you drop several hundred dollars on one of their expensive combos for large parties, you still get rationed like it’s the apocalypse. I could understand limiting extras for a small group asking for five servings each, but a party of eight asking for three? That’s completely reasonable, especially considering that these sides are traditionally unlimited at Korean BBQ spots. Annoying? Yes. Understandable? Maybe.
But today was the final straw.
I went with one other person. Just two of us. Still, we ordered the combo, enough food for four, because we wanted to enjoy dinner and take leftovers home. When I asked for a few takeout boxes to split our leftovers, the owner snapped NO and she’d only give me two. I explained we had a lot of meat and I wanted to keep the sides separate. She walked away.
I tried asking the server for ONE small side dish box to pack the sides (and I’d have to mix all the sides at that). His response? “Sorry, the owner told me not to give you any boxes.”
Are. You. Serious?
You’re really going to lose a loyal customer over a $0.05 to-go box?
We’re done. No more Zip for me, my family and our friends. Hope limiting takeout containers helps you balance those egg costs! Good luck with that Mrs. Kim, while you watch your customer base walk out the door. 👋
Have been going here since 2012. It's changed over the years but the food is great and the chefs are so nice! Sitting at the sushi bar is a must!
Excellent Korean BBQ, with different choices if that's not your thing.
A typical place that I wanted to go back to.
Barbecue and/or Sushi... we went for California rolls, Miso. Gyoza, and house salad... the ginger dressing is great. Godzilla a little more done than I like, but we'll fix that next time.
We usually go to Wabi Sabi, but I think we found a new place.
Kid-friendliness: Leave the kids behind... it's better that way.
Wheelchair accessibility: Standards ADA slots, easy double for entry.

Love this place they have some of the freshest fish I have ever had and I have been a sushi lover for years trying every place in the area that pops up!! Definitely my go to for sushi right now. The edamame is a popular appetizer but I think my favorite is the miso or calamari!! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Great service and food even the owner says hello and often helps out and she is the sweetest to kids I’ve noticed
Definitely recommend if you want some great sushi with great service !!

Best sushi and Korean BBQ in Eastvale! The service my husband and I received from Reece was unmatched. We live in Eastvale but it was our first time eating here. She was very informative and made excellent suggestions for us. The gentleman who brought our meats was extremely kind as well. We’ll definitely be back with friends and family! Thank you ??

I ordered three special rolls. The lobster Diablo was alright, but I just couldn't understand the combination of hot lobster and cold rice—it was not good. The ingredients were great, but together, not much. The rest of the rolls were yummy, with good quality tuna and eel. By the way if you planing to go to the bar, they do have a one but without a bartender. They make drinks by googling the ingredients, which, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of having a bar.
