Way overpriced, small portions, poor quality. Inside was very dirty, trash was piled in the corner. Wanted it to be good but was pretty disappointed. Over $30 for a shawarma, drink and side

Abn Al Sham is hands down one of the best hidden gems in San Diego! Their fried chicken is next-level — super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold flavor in every bite. The shawarma is just as amazing: tender, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with freshness. You can tell they use quality ingredients and really care about their food.

the best in the city 😍
One of the thinnest sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. You can hardly find chicken in the sandwich. Plus, the Restaurant could be cleaner. It's not inviting at all. I will never recommend it .

I would say in the lakeside area this place has some of the best fried chicken & fast SWANA food.
The environment is that of a hole in the wall, but what it lacks in environment is definitely made up by the hospitality of the workers & the owner of the store. You know when your walking in your getting food made with authenticity & love.
It's place worth going with a group, their fried chicken platter & shawarma combo is one that hits the taste buds on a next level.
I highly recommend this place, go support this local business

Abn Al Sham has some of the best fried chicken and shawarma in San Diego. The chicken shawarma sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and my favorite item. I also tried the crispy fried chicken, tasty coleslaw both were excellent
The staff were friendly, and the relaxed vibe made the experience even better. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back!

This shop is definitely worth the drive for shawarma. Especially when they take their time on the food! My husband has even brought relatives from out of state to eat here and we love the pomegranate sauce they offer. The fries are fresh and the citrusy seasoning has a nice touch to it.

recently visited this restaurant and was really impressed! The rotisserie chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Their shawarma was spot on—tender, packed with flavor, and wrapped in soft, fresh bread. I also tried one of their sandwiches, and it was just as good, loaded with fresh ingredients and generous portions.
The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the place felt welcoming. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and you can tell they really care about quality. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal or just a quick bite, this spot is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!
