Lol just noticed alot of the food pics and five stars is from 2-3yrs ago worst taco shop Ive been to in El Cajon. i asked the lady at the register for 5 red and 5 green salsas and she literally looked at me showed me two of each and left it at that. Four salsas for a cali burrito, 6 roll tacos, and two sodas (came up to 32$ and some change) food was tasteless af not even some salt on that meat. Every time I want taco shop now i just take a drive to humbertos on 25th st (also one on 43rd)and i live in El Cajon, best taco shop hands down. Thank me later. #stopthecap

I don't know who's been rating this place 5 stars but y'all need to stop the cap. I went based off the rate and checked this place out and it just sucked. The first time I stopped by the place was closed even though it showed open hours online. The 2nd time I went the lady at the register had no customer service& was rude, she also kept watching tv when I was placing my order super unprofessional. I ordered some roll tacos & a cali burrito & the burrito was completely tasteless. The meat had no flavor and the tacos seemed to be had been sitting out for a while. Don't come here if your looking for good quality taco shop food

Finally a good taco shop that is consistent ! It's a small place that keeps the menu simple straight forward but more importantly the food has been everything I expected !

Ordered 6 street tacos and cook over lapped the tortillas & pit a bunch of meat on top of all the over lapped tortillas , so the steam made them Soggy!! Versus them making me 6 individual street tacos like I ordered!! Charged me almost $20.00 dollars and I had no tacos cause the corn shells was broke up & soggy. My family lives close so we always used this location!! Regular customers, I have boys so they like taco shop food, this location was just convenient for me personally! Now they have officially lost a family of customer's all over 6 street tacos they didn't fix or refund. Horrible customer service!! I'll never go back!!!! THUMBS DOWN!!!!! THIS LOCATION DESERVE NO STAR ZERO!!!!!!

I've been here numerous times... The food is amazing. Especially like the cotija cheese in the taco's seems truly authentic. Every employee has been very gracious. Recommend this place very highly.

I liked this place. I spontaneously ordered some carne asada fries and for the price, it was reasonably cheap and the portions were humongous. So much so, that it weighed the plate down. The food also came hot, the carne asada was flavorful, and they included sauces, utensils, and napkins. From experience, a lot of Mexican food restaurants do not provide this for delivery orders unless I've specifically asked for them. Like I understand why restaurants wouldn't include the sauces, but common sense would tell you that people don't eat carne asada fries with their hands and don't use napkins afterwards lol.

I have ordered 3 different plates from here and each time I say the same thing. The food is okay. The staff is very nice and friendly and you get your food quickly with little to no wait time and you do get a lot of food, but the flavor of the food is just okay. I tried the Carne Asada nachos which is quite large and heavy. You will not be hungry if you finish this and plenty to share with 2 people. But the taste is just okay. Nothing great but nothing bad either. The rolled tacos were more tortilla than meat and the burrito was big and filling, but its the same care asada used in the nachos, so it was just okay. If you need a mexican food fix and it going to satisfy your craving and you are close by, then give this place a shot.

In the beginning, this place was very good, and then as I started to go there once a week and I liked it so much, I noticed the food had just started getting worse and the prices were "randomly" going up at the cash register. They seem to have started randomly adding unknown charges to your order. I will not be going back again. I paid almost $13 for a breakfast burrito when it was listed at $8....

Little hole in the wall but they throw it down. Good carne, good pollo, good everything.

Great food , prices , and customer service. So happy to live close by. Orders don't take long at all so nice to grab on my way home.

I don't usually write reviews but I spent 2 hours trying to find a good spot to doordash from and landed at this location. I got the Dani burrito and it was amazing! They actually pack it with meat and not just filler rice and veggies. Also, there were more than 3 shrimps in the burrito unlike other places. The pico had grill onions as well, which made it next level. I typically don't like Carne because it's usually rubbery, but theirs were tender like it was cooked fresh with quality meat. If you're looking for a new Mexican spot I suggest you try them out.

Ordered a chorizo burrito was awful. Chorizo was old and dark brown instead of orange and eggs weren't mixed in with chorizo.

One of the best in east county! Never disappointed when we order for the family! Love to support a small mom and pop!

My first time here, trying to find a good taco shop near me, so i popped in here and ordered a bean and cheese burrito, cause if the beens are good...I will try more of the menu. The BC burrito was good and fairly priced Also the spicy salsa was actually spicy...Mmmm Mmm I will return... also there is a laundry mat next door Hopefully they open early!!!!!

Thank you, fellow Yelpers! We needed some yummy Mexican food in an unfamiliar area and you delivered! You'll find the screen door to this family-owned, almost hole-in-the-wall, right next to the laundromat and the opposite end of the tiny strip from 7-Eleven. Don't let the size fool you! As the saying goes, "Great things come in small packages." My husband had a half order of the carne asada nachos with the "green" salsa. Yes, that's the one with some major kick. He loved the whole thing! My mom was impressed with her grilled chicken burrito. She has enough food for a few days! I had the chicken enchiladas..just thinking about them is making me drool again. The sauce was perfection - just the right amount of heat and the seasoning was balanced. The only thing I would change is to leave off the lettuce - next time for sure. Their website says they're going back to takeout only as of 12/6. I'm just happy to know they're going to stay open so I can try other menu items!
