Had an issue with a promotion, waitstaff and manager really didnt want to help. Food quality really has gone downhill. Chicken was dry and steak had a lot of grizzle. Sad, this place used to be one of my parents favorite restaurants.

Every thing was great. My wife and I had a ribeye steak, baked potato and salad. The salad was fresh. The potato was fluffy and very easy to eat. The steak was cooked to perfection and very juicy. r Our server, Marly, was friendly and very efficient.

I much prefer Black Angus to Texas Roadhouse especially when it comes to ambiance. I felt more relaxed and able to enjoy my dinner. The food and steaks are undeniably much better prepared at Black Angus. The seasonings are just right and not overly salty. I loved that they provided many drink options as well as side options. Price -wise/menu-wise I would also pick Black Angus. I would definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend Black Angus. Of course we love the discounts!!!👍🫶🏼 Kudos to David for being an awesome server. Please keep up the great work.

Food and service was great. Reservations and long wait, not so great! Trying to call for reservation was futile....waited almost 20minutes and never spoke to anyone. Automated answerer just kept circling around, never was able to talk to someone OR make a reservation. Then tried app on my phone...also not working..locked up after logging in. Then tried on-line, first time also couldn't get anywhere, locked up. Finally got thru and made reservation. Wasted about 40-45 minutes. Got to the restaurant 10 min before reserved time, but had to wait 25 min PAST, before seated. NOT great. Definitely gives me something to think about before visiting again. But food was great. And with "special", price/value good.

Ever since they took away the smaller cuts of meat the quality of their food has gone down. The cuts of meat aren't as good the side aren't as good either. It just seems they are using cheaper products and the presentation of the food has gone downhill too. I still eat there but the last few times I've left thinking it's not as good as it used to be.

Not sure why we had to wait for 25 minutes after the time of reservation to be seated. We were told they were waiting for a table that seats 5 was open. All the tables seat 5 and half the restaurant was empty.

We had a great experience at Black Angus El Cajon. Our waiter was amazing and provided great suggestions. Everything we ate was great and my mother-in-law thoroughly enjoyed her first birthday without her beloved husband and we couldn't thank your staff enough for making this special occasion for our family.

First time going to El Cajon location, traveled from Bonita , worth the drive out waiter Richard was very attentive, friendly and courteous. Will definitely be visiting again. The food was delicious!

Brought out a lobster that was old and had been frozen for God knows how long. Steak was medium well instead of medium rare. Cold mushrooms. Loaded potatoe was spot on. Seriously, eating that pizza bster would have probably killed me if I ate it
