Im a big black bear fan! But this one in el cajon is absolutely the best👌🤝♥️ We were here with our little daughter Nika, who was a little feisty today. The Blackbear staff were understanding and made an effort to entertain her and cheer her up again! Thank you to the whole team!

First time going there and I was not disappointed. I'm just starting with my pregnancy cravings and my food hit the spot. My son's pancake was adorable and delicious and my husband's chicken and waffle was pretty good as well. We ordered some dessert and I was just amazing. The service was good too. I'm a little obsessed with bears and well, that place was full of them. It's really pretty!! I totally recommend.

The first time I dinner here was an amazing experience with a wonderful waitress. I enjoyed myself so much that I returned to order two meals for Thanksgiving. Big mistake. I got two meals, two salads with no dressing. All adding up to $77. I will return, but never on a holiday.

My pancakes were really dry and dense. Everything about the meal I got was kind of meh... Nothing special. The rest of the group I was with seemed to enjoy their meals (mostly omelettes I think). I don't think I'd recommend the pancakes.

Great service and atmosphere! The servers are on their toes, very accomodating. The Cobb salad was perfect! However, one meal, the hamburger bun, was soggy. The other, a breakfast plate, was not hot, and French toast was soggy. We did not bring to their attention as we were on limited time.
