I had breakfast there, the food was pretty good. I had the corned beef hash and eggs with biscuits and gravy. Fair diner food, but I loved the family run vibes of the place. The serving staff was incredibly kind and attentive. There was a small hiccup with my order that made it take a little longer than usual, but it wasnt a big deal.

As far as cafes go around El cajon, this is probably the only one that's going to be pretty good. The food is generally pretty good. The staff is a little under energy. They can do more to care but they're not too bad. It's just a pretty good place to go, but it's better than most of these other cafes that burn your eggs and give you hockey puck biscuits.
I stopped in last Saturday morning, after approx. 5 years, just to wait for a women's fellowship event to begin next door. I decided to have a quick breakfast but sat at the counter rather than at a booth or table.
I had forgotten how nice and restful this establishment was back when I lived in El Cajon. The coffee is excellent. The food is first-rate. The service is just like you're at home! The prices are reasonable. What more could anyone need?!?!? 🙂
