The food here is pretty good, but for the price, it wouldn't be my first choice. I've eaten much better BBQ at other establishments for similar prices in the area. The atmosphere was pleasant. The service was okay, I didn't like the fact that I had to stand in line to order, rather than having someone come to take my order. When I go out, I don't want to stand in line, especially when you are given a menu.

The food here is absolutely delicious. I can’t begin to tell you how good it was. Even the barbecue sauces and horseradish were amazing. But wait, wait till you try their cornbread. Honestly, the best cornbread I’ve had. I would recommend this place to everyone. I’m not kidding. It’s that good here.

Our family had dinner on Sunday night. The food was good, service was attentive and friendly. I also need to mention they have the best macaroni and cheese I've had at a restaurant. It was rich, creamy and full of flavor. My family will definitely be back.
My kiddos and I came here after visiting a local pumpkin/Christmas tree farm. We don’t live here but we definitely will be making a trip back next time we want some BBQ & sweet tea!! 10/10 The ladies were so kind and the music was also a 10/10! The whole experience was the perfect way to end the afternoon!! 🤗🤗 shout out to the whole team!

Tasty Baby Back Ribs and Smoked Sausage Link at Buckboard’s in El Cajon, California! I’ve been meaning to check this place out for sometime and I’m glad I finally made it in. The restaurant is spacious and clean yet somewhat rustic. Very nice patio seating just beyond the side door. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Particularly when calling ahead to make a reservation for our large group. I appreciate that. There is a nice selection of beers on draft that I enjoyed.
I started with an order of Mac & Cheese Balls that were decent although somewhat institutional tasting. The green dipping sauce that accompanies is described as a “Pasilla Pepper Dip” which was good, not really spicy. The ribs were very meaty although not tender. I loved the smoked sausage. Their meat thing platters come with “Big Butter Toast” which was a nice touch. I added a side of Tater Salad which was outstanding. Clearly a house-made recipe that was well balanced, moist, flavorful and delicious.
