First time at this location.
Service: N/A
Used the Kiosk to order my food which was OK, most places with multiple locations do this to cut on cost.
Food:
I ordered a steak and egg burrito with rice and beans on the side. Order came out fast, however I had to wait for salsa since there is no salsa bar. (red flag)
The burrito was not good, it was mostly fries and tortilla which made it very dry. Whatever meat was in there was not tender at all. Rice and beans were ok, if not a bit too salty.
Did not finish the food, and only ate about half.
Last thing to note which made it weird, the owner/franchisee/ manager was having a meeting with other partners and were discussing about skimping on ingredients on certain items in spanish. I assume they were having a cost reduction meeting and based on the small details I heard made me realize that this place was not going to be it for me.

Literally sat in the drive thru for 25 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous
I asked for light ice at the window and they refused to do so. Gave me the horchata with ice full to the top. No napkins and poor customer service. Not coming back again. Workers are getting paid to do their job and can’t do a simple request. I didn’t receive the sauces I asked for either.

The worst experience I ever had was in drive thru and the cashier was more interested in working somewhere else and when I told her it was not right to be talking about the place she refused to serve us after we paid

I came through the drive thru to you El cajon location on April 28th, 2025 and ordered water and Cali shrimp burrito. It was going to be my lunch for work that late night. I got to work and realized what I ordered was not what I got so I called and couldnt get through to anyone. Finally I called the next day when you was opened and spoke to a lady and she said she would take my name down and next time I come through you all would fix this and make it right. On May 19th, around 10:45am I came through to retrieve my order that was messed up and the lady at the window told me she could not help me. I asked for a manager and she said she didnt have one there. I told her, well Its rare that I am in El cajon, and you all told me you would fix what I ordered and now your telling me you can not. She said it was because it has been to long. Nobody told me I had to come the same day to get my order right and I am not driving all the way from Delmar for a single burrito. That is ridiculous. I am a loyal customer and get my food here a lot each time I come to El cajon on every other Monday. But I am upset that you gave me someones order and messed up on mine and you cannot fix your mistake nor reimburse me for your mistake. I would really like to talk to the franchsie owner over this and its crazy that I have to write this whole email over a single burrito that you can not remake in this matter.

Food was good. Pricey but good. I got a quesabirria for my first time and it was honestly pretty delicious.
But let me tell you why my review is low. I went in, and was not greeted, not a big deal i guess since no one was there lmao. I ended up at the kiosk since I didn’t see anyone. I was scrolling through the menu, and the cashier comes in. Didn’t even talk to me or my boyfriend, so I didn’t say anything. Now, I’ve heard at some restaurants that the cooks and servers/cashiers can be a bit handsy with each other or they tend to flirt… well this was probably more than that. As I’m ordering I see one of the cooks come to the front with the cashier, and he immediately starts holding onto her waist and trying to dance or something with her. He was trying to hold her hands and she was telling him something. I speak Spanish as well, so I heard a little of what he was saying. He was telling her to pretty much give in, and saying “come on come on” or something along those lines. I look at my boyfriend and I tell him “wow, that’s actually crazy that they’re doing that here.” Then the cook proceeded to ask her questions and he just would not let her go. She was giggly and laughing with him. Get a room 😂.
Anyway , it was really weird and I felt uncomfortable. They didn’t have anyone else in the restaurant and I don’t know what compelled them to be so comfortable doing that, but just thought I’d write it down for y’all.

I tried the food here for the first time, ordered the rolled tacos and the chicken quesadilla both were hot and delicious. The service was courteous and helpful. I found my new favorite Mexican food place.

Ordered birria tacos with no onions, tacos had onions on them and came with no consume. I’ve had problems with not getting the consume before, have even been charged for it. I asked about it once and they confirmed it comes on the side for free anytime you order birria. I like this spot and all their flavors, best green sauce around. But the service has been lacking recently unfortunately.

Came here 2 times now. First one was for lunch over a year ago. Grabbed a campechano burrito. I remember it being a pretty big burrito but the flavor was not good. I went there this morning craving a breakfast burrito and it was the only drive through in the area. Got the "bacon and eggs" breakfast burrito and it should be renamed to the French fry and cheese burrito. There was a little bacon at each end of the burrito and none in the middle. The egg was also almost none existent. Possibly 1 egg mixed throughout. Maybe the high cost of eggs right now has had something to do with it. Either way, the picture speaks for itself. Also, the French fry and cheese burrito ended up costing me just over $12. I gave them 1 star for the quick time through the drive-through and another star because I enjoyed the hot sauce. Always hard to find good hot sauce. After 2 visits and 2 bad burritos, I won't make the same mistake for a third time.
