I haven't had a bad meal at Grand Ole BBQ. The brisket falls apart on your plate, pulled pork and tri tip is excellent, sides are addicting and the staff is always cool. The ambience on a nice day on the back patio with live music makes this one of East County's not so hidden gems.

Best bbq I have had thus far in cali. They had great service always checking in. Happy hour was good and filling. Their brisket is to die for.Kid-friendliness: Daughter was able to run around with other kids loved it.

This is a barbecue joint and while I rate it excellent it isn't a high-end restaurant, but they had the best barbecue I've ever tasted. It's great to set outside and on weekends they have entertainment. Their pork ribs are absolutely outstanding. I also love their brisket and tri tip and their smoked links. I guess I love their food. Service is always very good and very friendly. Oh, forgot to mention their fries they are really good too.

Fantastic place. Brisket was super tender and almost falling apart. Pulled pork was also good, had a bit of seasoning but manageable. Sandwich or just ordering meat by weight is pretty nice.Outdoor open space for kids to play and a super chill, non uppity atmosphere, just seemed very down to earth. Sports games on outside and inside.Beer selection was pretty large, maybe 20-30 beers on tap. Mixed drinks as well. They do mules.I think I found my new BBQ spot.Vegetarian options: Saw the impossible burger on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor play area, kids menus. Super chill for all the kids to play together.
Delicious Texas BBQ food, famous for being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives several years ago. The service is super friendly (Tiffany is our favorite server) and quick. Ribs, brisket, tri-tip, smoked turkey with either sweet or spicy BBQ sauce are all delicious. Side dishes are just perfect with the smoked BBQ meats, especially the potato salad, coleslaw and white beans! Food is served in paper trays and very casual with cocktail bar service, and local beers on tap. We drive 45 minutes at least once a month from Escondido to eat here, it’s that good! Weekends they have live bands playing and fun activities for families sitting outside. This place is a little gem, and worth the drive to Flinn Springs for a delicious BBQ feast!Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids!
