I came here to get the viral Dubai Chocolate bar and I was thoroughly impressed with everything about this bakery. I saw the chocolate bars in the fridge display and the girl working the counter immediately came to assist me.
I have never been to a middle eastern dessert shop, only had what my friends have given me, so I was a bit confused. She gave both my mom and I a free sample of some pistachio katafifi pastry thing it was delicious!!!
Then she told us that they not only had the originally Dubai pistachio chocolate bar, but also peanut butter, biscoff, and Nutella!!! All made with the katafifi so it was so amazingly crunchy and good.
I got the peanut butter and pistachio chocolates. Even though I came for the pistachio, the peanut butter was my favorite because it was made with dark chocolate. I wish the pistachio one had a dark chocolate option!
You could tell it was made by hand and the chef was there baking other desserts while we were picking our chocolate.
The customer service was amazing. The dessert was amazing. The atmosphere was calm however I am sure it gets more busy when it is dinner time.
Will be coming back with my boyfriend!!!

The NEW Middle Eastern dessert shop in San Diego - Hakmi Sweets is located inside Tarbosh restaurant. This place is a dessert lovers dream. They have delicious desserts like Middle eastern ice cream - Booza, the viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bar, Turkish coffee, specialty coffee and much more.
The prices of desserts are very reasonable. The owners (father-daughter duo) are so friendly and inviting. There is lots of space inside to sit and dine in.
