Every time I go it’s a “pick me up”! Nancy and her wonderful staff always make the best sandwiches/ bagels! I recommend the Taylor bagel and the meat lovers ! ?

Very clean seating area, all the tables had Clorox wipes available which I personally really appreciated. The hilltop breakfast bagel with an everything bagel and sausage was sooo delicious! The staff was very friendly and quick with preparing out breakfast. We'll be back every time we come to San Diego now!

I absolutely love coming here. I work down the street and stop in a few times a week. Everything that they make is wonderful, from the smoothies to the sandwiches and beyond. There are vegetarian options for those looking. The quality of food is much better than your average deli. They also carry all sorts of snacks and a huge drink selection so you can always find what you're looking for. Not ready for a full meal? They've got nuts and cliff bars and ice cream and cookies and fruit snacks... the list goes on and on. There is seating inside and also 3 nice picnic tables outside if you want to soak in some sun. All that said, the best thing about the business are the people who run it. They are so kind, considerate, and thoughtful. Every visit is a pleasant one and makes you want to return.

I came in today with my sister for lunch. She's pregnant and can't have deli meat but the lady at the front that helped us was super helpful and accommodating. She told her she can make her a chicken sandwich and had my sister customize it however she wanted! I've been on a diet and was craving something other than a salad so the lady told me she even has keto bread that she can use! The sandwiches even came with a salad and pasta salad. The sandwiches were so good, the prices are great and the staff was so friendly. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place!

Hands down the BEST deli in Southern California. I've eaten at all of the top rated deli's from San Diego to Riverside and none come close to the food and service at Hilltop deli. The Hawaiian paradise smoothie is the most perfect combination of refreshing, and tasty, the consistency is creamy and icy just like a smoothie should be. I've had breakfast here and honestly feel like I'm having a home cooked meal. My go-to order for lunch would be a bagel sandwich here, I'm picky about certain things and my sandwich has never been made incorrectly. The attention to detail and quickness, but yet precision here is unbeatable. If you want breakfast or lunch, or just a place to get a refreshing drink try Hilltop deli you will not regret it.

Bought a sandwich for lunch to take out. The sandwich was excellent and included with it was half a kosher pickle and the choice of a garden salad or pasta salad, probably two cups or more in size. I chose the pasta salad and it came topped with a nice dressing. I shared lunch with a friend and it was more than enough for both of us with pasta salad left over. I shall be returning! You can dine in or take out.

Great place for me to stop by during lunch! I’ve only tried their sandwiches and pasta so far and it’s very good and highly recommend it. It’s a family run business and the lady who is always there is very nice and always has the right recommendations.

I ordered a build-your-own breakfast sandwich with no meat with butter plus paid an additional $2 for avocado to be added. I received a sandwich with avocado and butter, no eggs. Thick layer of butter with a thin layer of avocado between two pieces of bread. ??

I gave this deli a 3 star rating due to customer service. The food is great but I feel the service could have been better. The lady taking payment was fine but the one in charge of making the sandwiches wouldn't serve the BLT because they didn't "have enough bacon" and seemed to be bothered that we ordered because "there was a big order" she needed to take care of.
