The food at Hooleys other than there STAKES is quite good. There stake is just plain ROTTEN. My wife an I have been going to Hooleys for about 23 YEARS. But for as long as I can remember there stake is just plain TERRIBLE. I thought I would try them again so I tried Saturday the 21st an had top ask thewait person to bring be a SHARPER knife because the first one would not CUT off ALL the FAT which I would say made up about 40% of the supposed 10oz. stake.

Love this place! While I may always dine alone, I have never felt ignored by any of my servers. All the servers I have encountered are friendly and knowledgeable when I ask for drink or food recommendations.

It's a nice place to listen to live music (sometimes) and have dinner and drinks 🍻 something where you wait for the movie, even next to it are the cinemas!!!
Parking: It's on the street and there is enough!
Kid-friendliness: Yes, in another part of the establishment there is no bar and you can dine with the children 👦🏼!
Wheelchair accessibility: Of course there is accessibility

We took our Grandmom out to the Rancho San Diego location celebrate her birthday. It’s her favorite restaurant.
The staff were very good and attentive. Nice atmosphere, rustic and casual. Good prices.
The cheeseburger I had was delicious.
I came 2 nights in a row to be fair.
I only want to do these reviews with an unbiased perspective and personal experience.
Theres 1.6 million people who have viewed my account so I want to always be fair.
Wanted to see if yesterday was just an off night. Came 2 nights in a row. Had the same waitress. It was what I expected. She would be better suited and happier somewhere else. She just isn’t as pleasant and attentive as all the other waitresses there. It was the oddest thing.
No refills on both nights plus the coke was really watered down. As if they need to change the soda machine.
Food was okay. The wings on Wednesday nights are huge! Tasty.
Waitresses talk to one another in front of guest as if they are not there. And about other guest. I almost said. I can hear you! You have to know I can hear you???
Other waitress sounds so cheerful and welcoming mine not so much.
Other waitress welcomed everyone who walked in and said thank you and good night. Very sweet. I’m jealous I didn’t get her. 🤣
Other waitress asked her guest if they needed boxes. Waitress assigned to my table no.
The busboys are really nice. Polite.
Honestly I would go again yet request another waitress who at least pretends to enjoy her job.

Usually I absolutely love this place, even wanted to work here, however the last experience the bartender seemed to be gossiping and possibly even talking badly about others, total turn off for a woman who only has positive vibes and uplifting others always. I won't be back

Awesome atmosphere and incredible selection of beers. They had both local and Irish on tap. I always enjoy Smithwicks, Guinness, and Bass which they had on tap. Their happy hour foods were on point and at a great price. I love jalapenos, so I went with their stuffed jalapenos with fried zucchini. I asked for their habanero dipping sauce, very good! The family came later, so I had to move off the bar due to kiddos. The kids loved their quesadillas, fried pickles, and grilled cheese sandwich. The wife and I split their French dip sandwich. Very tasty and fresh. Everything was made in house. 4 of us split their homemade bread pudding and fried PBnJ desserts! Had to take a lot home as they were big portions. Their menu had many traditional Irish plates, but couldn't enjoy due to our limited time there. Definitely going back when I'm down south! Closest thing to an authentic pub around!

Went for an after work happy hour with a friend. Bartender was attentive and got my order in for happy hour deals with no time to spare.
Draft selection is good and has some not so common beers.
Food was good and hit the spot. Sliders and skins.
They have live music a few days a week.
