Came in on St Patrick's day looking for something to celebrate the day and was okay with the one hour wait cause they was busy, unfortunately the corned beef lacked flavor and was very dry, the Sheppards Pie was also dry and was topped off with instant mashed potatoes they was only offering the st Patrick's day menu which only had about six different options making instant mashed potatoes unjustified, priced at $22 totally not worth it. They also had a huge sign saying st Patrick's day beers $9 as if a paying 9 dollars for a draft Stella was a deal.

We enjoyed a very nice experience at Hooleys, for dinner. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and seated at a nice booth. Our server, Lexi was at our table quickly to get drink orders. Our food and drink arrived quickly. Everything was prepared well. We had a Calamari appetizer, followed by a Beef Stew Boxty and Corn Beef with Cabbage. Portions were plentiful, with leftovers for another meal. Wednesday is also half price bottle wine night, which was a big plus.

Super friendly servers. Great food and interesting atmosphere. In addition to the tacos I also tried the corned beef quesedilla and the half beef and half corned beef burger. Highly recommend those!!!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was painfully slow, and when the food finally arrived, it lacked any discernible taste. It's disheartening to pay for a meal that fails on both service and flavor. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this place based on my recent visit.

We went to enjoy a Sat night dinner arrived at 6:30pm. Bar was busy so we decided to place our name on the list for a table inside the restaurant. the hostess quoted us 15 min.seemed reasonable so we waited in the bar. Ordered 2 drinks and enjoyed the music. a table opened up in the bar and we opted to wait for our table for 2 inside the restaurant. After About 20 min waiting, we checked in with the hostess and she stated we would have another 20 min wait. ISSUE #1- very frustrating since we were initially told 15 min and gave up a table in the bar. We watched the other guests in the bar who did take the table we passed on -order, receive their food, and we were still waiting. We understand we decided to NOT take the table however, we assumed 15 min was fine. the bar was pretty loud with a live band and we were hoping for a bit more of a quiet atmosphere for dinner. After another 25 min we checked again with the hostess now we had been waiting for 1 hour for a table. Initially told 15 min. ISSUE #2. Hostess now updates us stating the kitchen was very busy/backed up it would be another 30 or so minutes for a table no food was being ordered. I was shocked to hear this. Seriously no food was being ordered so the kitchen could catch up? I understand a slight wait but this was absurd. we decided to grab a table in the bar once became available and now it is 7:30 pm we were very hungry. Server came by and updated us we would have to wait 30-45 min for food or more..even an appetizer. ISSUE #3 we had already closed our bar tab out for the 2 drinks we both ordered and hoped chips/salsa and Scotch Eggs could be delivered to us in 15 min...so we again made the choice to wait. ISSUE #4 WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT BUT....we asked the server after 20 min waiting for our appetizers if we could speak to the manager. Greyson came over delivered our chips/salsa and scotch eggs. He also updated us very abrupt the kitchen was very behind, and our food was going to take a bit more. We ate the appetizers and thought tacos and a turkey burger surely can't take another 25 min...Well at 8:25pm. still no entrees. We asked for the Manager again...we told him we were very disappointed and our initial quoted estimated wait of 15min was 1 hr and 45 min ago...2 hours we were still at the restaurant with only chips/salsa and scotch eggs. We decided to not wait anymore and advised the manager to cancel our food. We were so disappointed with the lack of compassion as well. The Manager- Greyson offered to not charge us for our chips/salsa and Scotch eggs but our 2 drinks we had ordered a beer and vodka soda would not be comped. He made it very clear he would not offer any more compensation for our inconvenience. I was shocked. He was very abrupt again and I told him we WOULD NEVER BE BACK. how rude to not offer any sort of compassion for 2 guests who waited 2 hours for a turkey burger and tacos. unbelievable. My husband and I have been in the hospitality business as Sr. managers for over 40 years and we have never been treated nor would we ever treat a customer as we were treated at HOOLEYS RANCHO SAN DIEGO. The manager informed us he is not able to offer cocktails as compensation and the $25 worth of appetizers was all he was going to offer. again, very abrupt again, shocked he is a manager and has that sort of response after 2 guests waited 2 hours. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND HE GO TO SOME SORT OF TRAINING ON HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS. server was very nice however, we will not be back.

Husband and I went here they told us to seat ourselves so we did. We then waited no joke over 10 minutes and not a single person greeted us or came to take care of us. I decided to give them a second shot on Super Bowl Sunday thinking of course a public house would be open…the website says it’s open…no they are closed. Can say with certainty they won’t be getting a third shot.
