I’ve been here twice. I ordered a coffee they recommended and that was very delicious, and also order a picadio empanada and that was amazing. Second time I came in just for the tamales, so I thought, but then also ordered an empanada again. I ordered each flavor of tamales and they were huge! Full of meet and flavor. I would also ask for a couple of their salsas which pair perfectly with the tamales and empanadas.

The blended cold coffees are tasty good. I recommend the Marzapan and Pistachio coffees. The beef and chicken tamales are bomb! The best tamales I have ever had. They're packed with meat and the maza is tasty good. Make sure that Maria gives you salsa for each tamale when you order more than one, especially because its such a small amount. If you prefer your bean and cheese burritos qith homemade Tortillas, I don't recommend them. Tortillas taste store bought. I recommend this place for a quick pick me up!

Tried for the first time after seeing great reviews on Facebook. We got a Cafe Latte and an affagato. The coffee is smooth and delicious. The steak and potato burritos were a perfect size to fill you up. Will definitely be coming back and recommend this place to friends and family.

Maria’s Coffee Shop is my go-to spot in El Cajon. Great coffee, super friendly staff, and the food hits every time. I love the iced latte with oat milk and the ham and cheese torta. Everything’s fresh, affordable, and made with care. Definitely one of the best local coffee shops around.

This is a very nice little coffee shop kiosk. Maria, the owner serves up delicious espresso based beverages and a great drip coffee as well. In addition to the coffees and teas, she offers locally baked goods, home made burritos caseros, tortas, and on Thursdays and Fridays she offers homemade tamales.
I had a cortado, a meat and potato burrito, and a bean and cheese burrito. The cortado was well made. It was smooth and rich and quite tasty. The mini burritos were very tasty. Both the meat and potatoes were tender, and the beans and cheese delicious. I was very pleased with the salsa Maria serves with the burritos. Be sure to ask for it.
For the moment, the place is to go only. You can can call ahead orders. Service is very nice and friendly.
