I’m not originally from El Cajon, I hail from Chula Vista. And if anyone knows anything about mariscos “roach coaches” is that Chula Vista/san ya ideo have the best ones in Sd. I must say, that Maricos & Birria El Prieto does NOT disappoint. After living in El Cajon for the last four years this is the roach coaches I’m loyal to. They have THE best breaded shrimp tacos. Their portions are gargantuan. My man is Dominican and I recently started bringing him here, and trust me this guy is picky! He loves it. He gets the carne asada tacos with just onion and cilantro, and they always get his order right. He even drink the little broth (consomé) that they give you for free for standing and waiting for your food. He doesn’t even like seafood, but he loves the broth. I’ve gotten their campechana cocktail too and it’s so delicious and fresh. Their salsas are bomb too!

It's too bad that they don't update their schedule, it's been more than 5 times that I've dialed and I can't place an order. I go and then there is no one Until yesterday I went at 4:50 pm and they were closing, so they do close at 5:00 pm
Ask for a ticket, I ordered 2 separate orders and they charged everything incorrectly.
Another thing: They don't accept Apple Pay.
Despite all that, I still frequent the place, the toasts are very good.
If they closed later it would be great!!

The lady taking the orders she always has a nasty attitude, she never acknowledge us is like she doesn't want to take out orders. We are paying customers and we deserve respect like anybody else. I had it i am never coming here. The food is good but the service is nasty really nasty!

The food is really good but the service it’s awful the girl taking the orders didn’t even say hello and had us standing there, without talking to us. Always with an attitude since this is not the first time and this time we just had it. This is the last time we come here we try to not to let that bother us but she always treat us with a nasty attitude one day our food was ready but she never call us she called everybody else but not us and when we ask she gave us the food all cold . Awful experience and service.

I always go to the university one but today I decided to go to the one in El Cajon because it is closer to my house. Super bad service. They got angry because I asked for a consommé and they never gave it to me. The food was very good but the service was very bad.

The truth is I ordered a taco governor. A chile agua tostada and a large shrimp and octopus count $43 it was not the money that disappointed me but the food was terrible the taco is not that bad but the aguachile flavor sauce was spoiling the shrimp good but the sauce horrible the Flavorless cocktail, no matter how much you add salt, lemon and chili, really nothing recommended, please pay more attention to your workers, they charge a lot for the conditions of the food you offer a thousand times better main st Chula Vista.
Parking: The parking lot is not bad, it's just full of vagrants and homeless mnnn not recommended
