Described to me as a country greasy spoon joint ( which already had me sold) I stopped in for breakfast and had a great experience. I couldn't decide on what I wanted so I ended up changing my order three times. Jo and Nora were nothing but the nicest people ever. I wanted to hug Nora after she cooked me an amazing bfast. Everything was PERFECT! Hot coffee, crispy cfsteak, eggs , potatoes cooked to perfection and the gravvvvyyyy omg (drool) Can't wait to make it out here again. Thx ladies!

They make a mean steak and they have the best service, you come in and they know everyone's name and they have a honest conversation with you. Highly recommend

I loved this cute little cafe. It was delicious. The country fried steak and eggs were the most delicious I’ve ever had. And their salsa paired with it adds a great kick. Not too spicy, it’s just right. The seating was comfortable, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. It was the best meal to have the day after our wedding. I can’t wait to come back!

Nice little roadside spot but be prepared for a wait especially on weekends because seating is limited but the food and customer service is worth it. It's a popular locals spot so you know it's good especially compared with all the other spots available in Lakeside Basic BreakfastChicken Fried Steak

Old fashioned diner. Excellent stick to your ribs type food. Breakfast and lunch only. Small diner with limited seating. Friendly, attentive staff. If there's a line, it's worth the wait.

If you want fancy, this isn't for you. It is good hearty down home cooking in a small place I have gone there for the last 30 years and I'd does not disappoint.

Definitely eat here! My mom, cousin and I found this little gem while visiting. Everything we ordered reminded us of our grandma/mom's cooking. I had perfectly cooked, over-easy eggs and biscuits & gravy. My cousin had an Ortega burger and my mom had a beautifully grilled ham & cheese. The burger patty was nice, thick & juicy. It's small with 4 or 5 booths and counter seating, so there might be a wait. Luckily there was an open booth and we sat right down. All the staff were friendly, warm and attentive. Just like being back at Grandma's house in the 1970's.

I was very hesitant to leave this review. My family and I felt so unwelcome here. The service was terrible and my husband and I have never experienced what felt like racism. I've never had this thought in my mind until we came here. The food was okay. The cook in the back looked dirty and his hands looked gross and the place had flies buzzing around. Besides that we still can't get over how we felt unwelcome and the only thing in mind would be our race. I will definitely never come back not recommend this place.
