We love the Retreat Pool but the music & food sucks! Seems they want to treat it like a hip hop, downtown, 20yo nightclub music, rather than appealing to the actual crowd paying the bill here.. read the crowd!

Salsa and chips were good. Beans and rice were ok. I got the beef fajitas and they had no flavor, not good for San Diego mex. Like I was eating fajitas in Idaho or something. lol. But the peppers and onions were goood.

* Edit Went back for the delicious fajitas, and tried the chicken mole, sadly it was very disappointing from the rubbery chicken to the bland mole sauce. so I do not recommend the mole, for the price and location I feel it should be much better!

We did enjoy our dining experience here. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out! I love the bright colors and cultural displays from the calaveras, roses, luchador portrait to the Guadalupe statue, it is tastefully detailed! The salsas were actually spicy with the perfect heat to go with the chips. You get 3 different salsas and chilli with your complimentary tortilla chips! The fajitas were seasoned well and the rice was authentic! The tortillas were ok and I had hoped for real guacamole but it was still tasty. We will definitely come back to try more options from the menu. There is also an outside patio area with a view of the pools. It's beautiful at night with all the lights on. Service was good too!

The hookah at Suerte Cantina hits smoothly and is the best I’ve had in San Diego. The flavors were on point and the food was good too. The overall vibe made it a perfect spot for a chill night out. Highly recommend!

Stopped by Suerte Cantina during my trip to Sycuan for the MSPT and it did not disappoint. I had both the pork tacos and the steak tacos, and they were amazing tons of flavor, cooked perfectly, and way better than I expected for a casino spot.

Chips and salsa were on point too fresh, crunchy, and not just some afterthought. My cousin ordered one of the burritos and it was massive dude could barely finish it. Everything just felt high quality and full of flavor.

Affordable, Laid-back vibe, quick service, and solid prices for what you get. Suerte definitely hits the spot if you’re craving good Mexican food while you’re at Sycuan. I’ll be back next trip for sure.

So the girls & I initially only went for the drinks themed after the Loteria game (which is our thing ? - Millenial Loteria!). We decided to try the food after all. The menu at 1st glance does not seem like they have much to offer but I have to be honest, I was soooo full I could not finish my flat as! They are huge & yummy! I ate 2 of 3, my friend ate a quarter of her Joerrito which is a burrito named after I believe an athlete? My friend knew who ??‍♀️. The drinks are definitely on point! There were a couple of items that are no longer on the menu but they were kind enough to make for us ❤️ Our server Nico was amazing! If you like & can handle some heat ? try the scallops tostada! OMG! is allnI have to say! We'll be going back for sure ?

Walking around the casino I noticed that musgrove had inspired a burrito ? here so it peaked my interest & good thing I followed that instinct. This place is great! Beautiful aesthetic’s throughout the restaurant & the balcony/ patio area over looks the pool. Nico was our server & he was amazing, very funny and pleasant & attentive. 10 of 10 ! The food was delicious just off the starter and the complimentary chips & variety of salsas we received , I got full and couldn’t even eat my actual entree. However when I got home and ate the tacos later on they were still bomb! Bar is stocked and drinks are good. Definitely will be coming back here.
The casino has valet , but also offer self parking as well. Definitely check this spot out!

Their police patrol the parking lots on the weekends, looking for slightly expired tags and tow your vehicle away. You cannot get it back until Monday with proof of paid tags and doubling their money from their patrons. Terrible business practice.
