This place is extremely expensive their baklava is actually not better than other baklava places in El Cajon but it’s twice as pricy as other dessert places. I don’t think it’s worth it to pay $25 per pound it’s crazy i can’t believe that this business exists.

I was in El Cajon for a work trip & staying at a hotel nearby. I found Sultan on maps, saw the reviews, & opted to try it. & oh my god. I'm sitting in my hotel room alone giddy with joy eating this baklava. It is so, so good. The man that helped me answered all my questions & steered me towards great choices! I can't recommend enough!!!

Great food, lovely patio and delicious baklava. The #5 chicken plate was exceptional! We'll be back for sure!

It was a restaurant in San Diego (gas-lamp district) that I had been going to for years to eat lahmajun. The owner was a Turkish person. Frankly, it was the shop that could make the most Turkish type of lahmajun that I tried in many places in the North America. When I read that they moved on this trip, I was both sad and traveled an extra 38 minutes to El Cajon. Unfortunately, although the website and the reviews said kebabs and lahmajun, the guy at the register told me that only breakfast was served in the shop and that the lahmajun and kebabs would not be available for 3-4 weeks.I don't really understand what happened to the shop and why this happened, but since I won't travel that far anymore, it's okay!

If you guys are the type of person who likes to explore different types of gastronomy from different cultures in San Diego or you into Turkish Culture like I do...Then I recommend you to go to eat at sultan baklava in el cajon both restaurant / bakery.....where you will be delighted by their food & pastries to the point that you will make this place your number one option for Mediterranean/ Turkish cusine.....Not only the food its delicious but each employee are so friendly and attentive with the customers all the time....This makes you feel as if you were visiting an good friend and it welcomes you with joy that you don't want to leave the place....Now let me tell you that inside the restaurant its very clean from the tables...To the restrooms to the small patio outside the restaurant.....Which makes it a good place to eat and its also perfect for friend reunions...Family gathers.....So if you want to experience as you were in Istanbul...Izmir...Anatolia...Cappadocia..Bursa or Adana or Ankara....then I fully recommend you to come and visit the sultan baklava restaurant in el cajon. Best baklava! Had Turkish coffee, treats, and sat for a slow morning. Absolutely delish. Can't wait to come back for the beautiful desserts for an event! We need to come back to eat next door too! The owners are working with their staff and genuinely so grateful to have you. Feels like you're visiting Turkey! I went years back and it made you feel like you were right back there.

This place is ridiculously overpriced! Ordered one slice of cake and it cost me $10. Definitely not worth it. Their baklava & cakes are also too expensive compared to other places. The baklava isn't good because it's not crunchy at all. Highly not recommend this place.

The place is clean and the service is nice, no food for the price, 1 fifth of the amount of meat compared to nearby restaurants. We drove from OC to try it. The food for 5 was only 2 skewer of kabab. Not enough at all.
