Cool place, really good coffee! Plus, there’s a gallery together, so you can drink your coffee and see the arts around.

Cashier was a very sweet lady; she took my order and recommended checking out the art while I waited. She was also able to answer questions about the artist, and that they feature works of local artists - usually multiple, but the current exhibit is a single artist - Bems. She brought my order directly to me. Very chill atmosphere and top notch dirty chai.

Parking: Diagonal street parking - free, but not an abundance of spaces, depending on how busy the street is. I went at 1200 on a Thursday, so there were plenty of spaces.

Loving the unique and inspiring atmosphere the fusion of coffee & art create at this coffee shop!

And of course, the coffee itself is delightful. I recently attended one of their coffee tastings events and really enjoyed everything from the rich, aromatic espresso to the velvety smooth lattes. Whether you're looking for quick caffeine fix or indulging in a leisurely moment with friends, I highly recommend Surje Coffee at The Gallery.

I loved loved loved the vibe of this coffee shop! It's located inside an art gallery that sells pieces from local artisans; SOO cute!! The coffee drinks were absolutely fabulous and I was able to have oat milk! Dairy substitutes are on deck! I will definitely be back! Parking was also a piece of cake with parking stalls directly in front of the entrance door and I was able to bring my dog! I love it when local shops are puppy and pet friendly! Thank you so much guys!

It has an amazing atmosphere and beautiful art displayed. Super unique and quality beverages being served. I tried the lavender and vanilla lattes and I learned that the syrups are made in house! So delicious!! The owners and baristas are so kind. I'll be coming back!

I’m very picky about coffee, and I can’t say enough good things about Surje! The atmosphere is really nice as well. Everything from the unique espresso beverages to simple Americanos is excellent.

We came for the Surje Coffee grand opening and had such a great time! The Mediterranean mocktail and oat milk latte were amazing.

Be sure to check out the beautiful custom tile in the bathroom.

Not only is the coffee delicious, but the owners are lovely people who are cultivating something truly special for the community in this gallery!

Stopped by this new coffee shop today and had a Oaxacan and vanilla bean latte!!! So good! The coffee shop is in an art gallery and there was live painting happening along with some other small businesses popped up outside.

This place falsely advertises the menu, the latte cost $6 with oatmilk (in a 8oz small cup) but the latte is just milk, you must pay $2 extra to get espresso in your "latte" that's not really a latte. So my oat latte with mocha came to $9, tasted decent but for a small cup where you're forced to pay for espresso because a latte doesn't include it is just an insult and greedy from owners.

This is a cool little small business coffee shop. It's located inside the "Gallery" of El Cajon on Main Street.

They are dairy free, so I had a cortado with oat milk. The cortado was fantastic, given that they use quality oat milk. The roast they use was robust and flavorful. I liked the nuttiness that it offered towards the end. Great non milk cortado. I look forward to trying some of their other offerings. Baked goods will be coming soon.

Service is very friendly and welcoming. The place is very nice with artwork all around. There's inside and outside seating.

Delicious dairy-free coffee mocktails! I got an iced Mediterranean mocktail which had a pistachio flavor to it and it was DELICIOUS. Great variety and selection of drinks! Sweet and caring owners. I will be returning! What a cute spot to hang out a drink my coffee!
