The website said they are open at noon, so we went for lunch. They are only open for takeout until 4. It was disappointing. The website said the same thing Friday and today. Friday12–3 PM4–9 PM

This used to be my favorite place to pick up take out food but I’m very disappointed in their quality of food and the portions are way too small for the price you pay. I don’t know if they’ve changed ownership in the past year or what but it has definitely declined, in my opinion. Now I have to find a new “go to restaraunt” for takeout. ?

I got the tofu w/ spinach a #4 for spice. Oh my goodness this food was SO GOOD! It came with white rice. I ordered some bread to go with it. Shared with my Son. He raved about how good it was too. You must try this restaurant. The girl at the counter was very friendly & helpful. I will return to this restaurant.

Not enough food for $22‼️ Only a Chicken Tikka Masala pint with same size of white rice, lentil soup & bread. Way overpriced for very little food. It's a main and common reason people don't return to establishments.

Wonderful, fresh food! Very good portion sizes. The pakora and samosas were cooked to order. They were bomb! We were the only ones there, but food and service were prompt. As well, the server checked on us without hovering. This is a hidden gem. Go try it. They won't disappoint!

This place has become me and my friend's comfort food spot. It absolutely never misses. This food is so good it will have you moaning and groaning and writhing around on the floor, and will give you the strength to climb a thousand mountains. The food here will heal you mind body and soul. 5 stars.

My first time trying Indian food. I ordered lamb tikka masalla and garlic naan bread. Somehow it was 25 dollars for such a small amount of food. The curry was disgusting and thick. I ended up throwing it away because of how bad it tasted. Not satisfying in any way. The next time I try this kind of food, it will be in different restaurants

Our server understood what is vegan and helped us adjust our meals to accommodate. I had vegetarian Korma made vegan with coconut milk. My husband had Chilly, with aloo (potatoes) instead of paneer (cheese). The roti (flatbread) can be made with oil instead of butter. They brought us small lentil soup cups as a complimentary appetizer, vegan.

I've sampled quite a few Indian Restaurants in the San Diego area, and I highly recommend the "Taste of the Himalayas" in El Cajon. While that name has other locations and I've tried them, this location stands out from the rest for me. They were voted the Best Indian Restaurant in Easy County in 2019 before COVID came into the picture, which resulted in them shifting to "take out" only. Their menu is quite "in depth;" and the quality is outstanding and consistently good, which I can attest to since we've been picking up food twice per week from them for about the last six months. The staff is friendly; responsive; the food is always ready in a timely manner; they have an "A" grade for cleanliness; and they don't cut your quantity of food, which sadly I've noticed more restaurants are doing during these inflationary times to cut their own costs. In sum, I want good food, and want a consistent amount of it, which they are providing! Also, I highly recommend their Chicken Chile and Chana Ra Chicken Curry (with Chickpeas).

The food was very tasty and clean, the restaurant is very clean and quiet, the service was great, and I liked the culture of the restaurant through the pictures posted.

Very friendly staff. Great food. I believe we will become a party of the many regulars who have made this quaint restaurant part of their dining out tradition.
