The atmosphere of this place is amazing. Sitting outside with my family to enjoy all the kool rides that pass by during the car show was priceless to me. And the meat lovers pizza we ordered was GREAT!! My family and I have found another restaurant to enjoy.?

Wow. Not just good for El Cajon but all of San Diego. I had three people independently refer this place and I had to try it. I'm a super foodie and this place hits the spot. I have added this place to my lunch rotation. I would upload a pic of my food but I ate it already. You will have to come see for yourself.

Great place, great service. Daryle was my server very friendly and pleasant. I would highly recommend it. Especially the desserts. If I come back to El Cajon, I will come back to this restaurant.I had a salad with house made italian dressing. Very delicious.I ordered the 3 special dish, chicken parmesan, and beef ravioli. Great serving size, I couldn't finish because I wanted dessert.I had frittole with maple syrup. Wow, definitely the best for last.

The food was delicious! We ordered Sicilian Lobster Mac & Cheese, Rigatoni Fra Divavolo, Lasagna, and Chicken Parmigiana. As an appetizer we ordered Bruschetta, Caprese, and Garlic Cheese Bread. For dessert we had Spumoni Ice Cream. We shared the food and still had plenty left over. All the dishes had their own touch of uniqueness and presentation.

Great Italian food all around in the heart of El Cajon. Downtown El cajon has a lot of great potential that I feel isn't being supported by our mayor. Testo Pepsto is the idea that needs to be mirrored making the area a place for people to enjoy a nice evening out.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Testo Pepesto Italian Restaurant in El Cajon, and I must say it was an incredible experience! The pasta with seafood that I ordered was absolutely divine. The flavors were rich, the pasta cooked to perfection, and the seafood was fresh and succulent. It was truly the best pasta with seafood I've ever had!Not only was the food exceptional, but the portion sizes were incredibly generous. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food served. It's definitely a place where you won't leave hungry! The value for money is outstanding. The restaurant itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for families and gatherings. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made sure all our needs were met and provided excellent service throughout our meal.I highly recommend Testo Pepesto Italian Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable Italian dining experience. Whether you're a seafood lover or simply craving delicious pasta, this place won't disappoint. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their extensive menu. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves kid’s pizza!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I loved everything from the atmosphere to the server and especially the food. I ordered the Gnocchi Tuscan and it was out of this world! I can't wait to go back!

Arrived early for our reservation and was the only dinners in the place. Ordered drinks and appetizers waiting on the rest of our group. Then ordered dinners, the place started to fill up and was full by the time dishes were served. It was at this point things changed as the service began to slip away our server was so busy that we had to wait for her to even get to go boxes and check Food was over olive oiled and not real flavorful all 4 of us had different dishes and we all said the same no flavor in them Not sure if we'll be back

I'm stunned at all the great reviews. Italian food is my favorite cuisine and this is probably the worst Italian food I've ever had. The second I got in the car with the to go order, I called my husband and said I knew it was going to suck because it smelled horrible. Not a good sign. We ordered the meat ravioli, chicken parmesan, and lasagna. I ordered the lasagna because it looked so delicious in pictures and got so many reviews. It was disgusting. No sauce was placed in between layers and the meat tasted like defrosted McDonald's patties. Sauce was too sweet, cheese was thick and stringy, the whole thing was horrible. It takes me a lot to throw out perfectly good leftovers, and even more for my husband to throw them out, and we both agreed we wouldn't eat the lasagna again even if we were starving. My husband said the chicken parm didn't even taste like chicken, and said it was the worst chicken parm he's ever had. He's not picky whatsoever. The sauce was disgustingly sweet with a lack of flavor. The meat ravioli had the same gross meat as the lasagna. It was slightly better because I ordered it with vodka sauce (it wasn't vodka sauce but red sauce with cream), but it was pretty bad. They gave us three stale, untoasted bread rolls for lord knows what reason.
