If you like GOOD BBQ and descent portions THIS IS THE PLACE!! The brisket was tender and delicious 😋 SERIOUSLY good Family owned & operated with a phenomenal reputation of REAL BBQ!! For those who don't eat meat, the baked beans, potato salad and other non meat items are JUST as good!! Definitely one of my go to for BBQ!! You won't be disappointed 👍🏼👌🏼💯💥

Easily the best barbecue spot in San Diego county! Portions are large especially for the prices which are very fair for the quality of food. For 25$ you get what looked like a pound of brisket,2 sides and a biscuit. This place reminds me of places I used to eat at when I was a kid where you knew it was owned by a local family and you knew they were passionate about food from the quality and portions they gave. 5/5 will def be back for more in the future!

Grew up in North Park where they had a Barbecue Pit exactly like the one in LaMesa. Could not believe that everything was exactly like the store in N.P. food was great service was very quick and professional the seating was the same as NP 30 years ago. It was awesome. Of course the prices are higher but that's just the nature of the beast these days. Recommend you try it. It is worth the trip.

This place is pretty pricy and the food is just okay. The customer service and friendliness of staff leaves something to be desired. Overall, I probably won't come here again. It's just not anything special that makes me want to pay this type of money for food and service that is mediocre at best.

Old school place. Sort of cafeteria style. But, that's the charm. No frills, but great food. I'm 55 and I was the youngest customer. Bring your boomer parents. They'll love it. Best beans ever!
