This place is pretty pricy and the food is just okay. The customer service and friendliness of staff leaves something to be desired. Overall, I probably won't come here again. It's just not anything special that makes me want to pay this type of money for food and service that is mediocre at best.

Old school place. Sort of cafeteria style. But, that's the charm. No frills, but great food. I'm 55 and I was the youngest customer. Bring your boomer parents. They'll love it. Best beans ever!

Great bbq. This cafe has been around for a long time, with a loyal customer base. Ample seating, and we've been coming for years.
We hadn't been there for quite a while stopped in and picked up a couple of time. Pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were outstanding. Sides of macaroni salad and beans were both great. Family owned, used to be one in Chula Vista long ago. It's always been a treat to get food from the restaurant! Get the chopped burnt ends sandwich with soup for a budget treat! All good!
