Been here a couple of times and the food is good and consistent. It's never overcrowded and the food is ready fairly quick. I was going to go for the reaper level hot but they wanted me to sign a waiver so I passed. I think I will go for it next time. I usually get the two sliders and fries. The pickles are always crisp and fresh. Good food and service all the way around.

I've been to Dave's Hot Chicken in SoCal a few times and it's always been really good. Decided to try the location in El Cerrito and the food wasn't great. Actually, it gave me and my bf food poisoning. We started feeling queezy and other symptoms (I'll spare you) within 20 minutes of eating our food. I don't know what went wrong in the kitchen but something definitely did. Unfortunately, I don't recommend eating at this location and I won't be coming back.

Horrible food service! Never get what we ordered, and everytime the coleslaw is absent when it's apart of the chicken sandwich. Why is an ingredient that is described in the menu not there when I paid for it?? It's not like these sandwiches are cheap! Don't care for this location at all. It's the service not the food, for sure!

I love Dave's in southern Cali the ones heren NorCal are terrible . I ordered 4 combo boxes fries were cold and chicken dry and no slaw were added how did you miss a large order ?Such a waste it's always fresh hot in southern Cali . Never again

I mean it was ok so more 3.5 than 4. Chicken was good but decent size with small piece of bread all for a pretty penny. People like this place so maybe I'll try it again? We'll see...not a great review, sorry not sorry -ant

Okay so BOOM! This place snuck up on me in the best way! My family and I were in the plaza and couldn't decide on what to eat and I remembered this new place had just opened up not too long ago! We pulled up and checked it out on yelp first! IYKYK lol Once we decided it was worth the try, my husband went in to order. What started as a to-go order turned into a dine-in, and I'm happy it did! The restaurant is so vibrant, CLEAN and inviting! The staff was professional, kind and extremely helpful with recommendations and offering options. While we were there, two staff members were seen cleaning WITH DISINFECTANT!!! WE LOVE TO SEE IT! Now on to the food! I ordered a #4 which is a chicken slider with fries (drink has to be purchased separately). I selected Lite Mild seasoning for the sandwich because I am NOT a hot girl LOL. The sandwich was SOOOO FREAKIN GOOD that I went BACK and ordered an extra slider (judge ya mama LOL)!! My husband ordered a #3 with Medium heat and finished his food 3.7 seconds after sitting down with it! Ahahaha Overall GREAT experience and definitely will be returning!!

First time here. Service was quick and ordered take out. Got the hot chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Not much veggies but the bun was fluffy and the chicken was super crispy. Spice level isn't that spicy but will order again. The strawberry milkshake was creamy and thick so had to use a spoon, very tasty.

Just wanted to leave on here to say late night pick up here are the best I’ve ever experience. I’ve always been hesitant to order late and pick it up because they would always have me waiting or my order is wrong. But here that wasn’t the case. The front desk guys have the best vibes and cool attitude and it took me lest than 3 minutes to pick up my order. Thank you guys

Ordered food in “Hot” spice level but was given the “Reaper” level. As you expected, a lot of food went to waste. I know it was the reaper because I have eaten “Hot” here before and it’s way way less spicy. Our whole night was ruined when we first bit into that almost bittering-spicy chicken tender. Would recommend checking your food before taking it home
