Don't get me wrong I like Rubio's and have eaten at about 5 of them but the Vallejo Rubio's is the worst. They are always incredibly slow. I've waited close to an hour before so when they got their app and I could order online. I jumped at the chance to order at home get a specific time to pick up and go home and eat. So I order and pay for it. It says it will be ready in 20 minutes. I get there in 21 minutes and the cashier doesn't know anything about the order. I show her the receipt and she says ok. So I sit down and wait. 30 minutes goes by and I ask for the manager and he doesn't know anything about my order. I show him my receipt and he says ok I'll start the order. I complain, ok I get your computer is screwed up but why couldn't the cashier have put in my order 30 minutes ago. He shrugs and says he'll put in my order. No apology. So I wait another 20 minutes. No more Vallejo Rubio's for me!

This place is certainly one of the most attractive place to eat in the region. Every time I visit this place I am so satisfied. They always keep their high level service and the highest level of meals they give. You surely will enjoy this this place. Warmly recommended.

Food is delicious but restaurant is veery unsanitary. Tables are dirty,sticky. Bathroom is disaster. Very filthy and unsanitary.

Costumer service is ok. Everyone is going their job. Salsa bar is ok. There was not that many people today so it was clean and fully stocked. But my burrito was just horrible . I ordered california burrito and it is just disgusting. I never tried anything so salty before . Literally left everything on my plate, was not able to eat it . Won't go back and won't recommend to anyone .

Typical Rubio's. Can't get away from their classic beer battered fish tacos or burritos. Yum. This location is the only East Bay location after the Emeryville restaurant closed up. Easy shopping center parking in El Cerrito. Good service. Serve yourself utensils, salsa, and soda after you order at the counter. Love Rubio's.

I should've read the reviews--this place is a joke, don't go. Cashier waited until AFTER we had paid and were waiting, then called over to us, "they said no more shrimp. You can get chicken or steak." No "sorry," no "we'll refund the difference," acted like it was our problem, seemed annoyed to have to deal with us. When the order finally came out items were missing and the staff proceeded to argue with each other about it at the counter. I liked Rubio's food but NEVER going there again.

Its just fantastic. I love their fresh seafood and creative twist on Mexican. By far my favorite Mexican chain and it’s a damn pity they’ve been downsizing their presence in the Bay Area. Embarcadero 3 location is sorely missed may it Rest In Peace.......

Worst experience and very disappointed eating here. 2 steak Taco for $8.99 and meat is cold no flavor at all.i was expecting food is fresh taste better than street taco.Taco meat is cold and taste old meat. Finally went to the rep, they had no idea what was going on. Here I am waiting more Nd everyone else is getting their food except me. This place has the worst customer service.

The mahi dishes were quite good except for the flour tortillas. Salsa bar is pretty good. Prices should be lower since this is a counter-service bus yourself kind of a place.
