I wanted some fried rice, I thought uncle Wong would have good fried rice, but this time it was nasty ?, the rice was clumpy and greasy, I think uncle wong on vacation. the chicken was not good either, mainly breading with hardly any chicken, very disappointed in uncle, never going back here, uncle Wong did me wong. Spent 30 dollars for nothing. ?I am very unhappy with my order, I want my money back, when I see uncle Wong it's going to be on like donkey Kong ?.

I had been a regular customer for years and really enjoyed their food, but being rude to me and asking me not to come back just because I complained about my curry chicken dish that she brought out to me was unacceptable. I only asked why the curry sauce was so watery and not thicker because that was not the way they had always cooked it. There was no argument, just a simple request to modify the curry sauce with the chicken. She said, “No, don’t come back.” Not good customer service.Parking: Good

Idk why people have so much hate for this place. Ive ordered from here a few times and every single time im impressed with how much depth and the flavor has for each dish AS WELL as the size portions of the food. I spent approx 100 bucks for 4 people (thats pretty average these days) for dinner and everyone loved what they got. 3/4 of us were able to order 2 entrees and managed to keep it around 25-30 dollars each and then still had enough food for leftovers later. Tsing Tao (love ya, Tsing Tao) is second to this place imo and ive been going to Tsing Tao since I was a kid. Give it a shot.

Prices are crazy. $17 for a steamed rice plate? and they tried to forget the soup in my order and took forever to give it to me when I drove back. I think I’ll keep taking my business to Happy Garden. More food and more reasonable. It’s my second time here bc I wanted to give it a chance but I’m disappointed.

They're Under New Management for a couple of years now the food quality is not the same the customer service is not the same and the price has went up and they're giving less food unacceptable there is never a manager or owner in sightDietary restrictions: This place needs new cook and to lower their price there is no dining in for 3 years unacceptable the place needs to reopen and there needs to be a owner on site

This makes American Chinese food look bad (as if it could look worse). Soggy deep fried food that isn't crispy. 1/4 pieces of chicken with 3/4 inch of breading. Absolutely disgusting (see picture I uploaded). If you want unhealthy American-style Chinese food, avoid this. Panda Express is the same style and tastes much better.

Does not have indoor dining or any dining option. All orders are to go. Needs to update their Google listing to reflect this.

The food is overpriced and lacks flavor. We ordered 4 entrees and 2 soups. The fried rice was pale, the chow mein was dry. Perhaps the price is trying to match the would be better el Cerrito area, but I much rather drive into Richmond for some good Chinese food at a quarter of the price.

Delicious and authentic! Reasonable prices and I love that the still have prefixed family dinners on the menu.

In the days before nearly every type of cuisine suddenly was a finger tap away, there was an essential need to have the phone number for a good Chinese takeout place willing to do deliveries. Remember those days? ...Bueller? Oh yeah, I'm on Yelp. Well, for better or worse, Uncle Wong reminds me of that type of place even though I've never set foot in the place. I was just in the mood for Chinese one stormy night and found the kind of menu I used to see printed on pink paper with a drawing of bamboo on the cover. Remember those? Oh never mind. I ordered the $13.95 Eggplant Chicken (photo: It was a hearty portion with white onion added and quite lacquered with the unmistakable brown sauce. By contrast, the $10.95 Black Mushroom with Chinese Tenders was also a hearty portion and similarly lacquered but not with brown sauce (photo: Just a lot of bok choy. That was it. It wasn't extraordinary, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it hit the spot. It also appears to meet the impulsive need for standard grade takeout Chinese food I have every now and then. FOOD - 3 stars...big servings that meet expectations AMBIANCE - n/a...gee, how should I know? SERVICE - 4 stars...it was quick and neatly packaged TOTAL - 3 stars...sometimes middling is good RELATED - Exploring El Cerrito? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed:
