I ordered the miso ramen and it was absolutely tasteless. I even tried adding soy sauce to it, but it didn’t help much and instead of refunding me, I was able to choose a menu item of the same value which was $16. I chose one of the rolls and this is what I got, and I highly doubt that this tiny portion costs $16. Never again

The food was honestly good, but the service was incredibly disappointing. We were the only customers at the time, yet it took 20 minutes for our first dish to arrive, and another 20 minutes for the rest—which we had to take to go because of the long wait. There were four staff members, including the owner, and still the service lagged. We still left a tip, but please don’t let this happen to your next customers. Chances are, like my wife and me, they won’t be coming back. 😟

This sushi spot is pretty great! I'm a big sushi lover and had never been here before. The restaurant itself is small inside but the sushi is well made and you can tell they put effort into it. All the sushi and sashimi was fresh and tasted great. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be back. Thank you!

This is a perfect little sushi spot. The last time I was in El cerrito I went to a very expensive place and couldn't believe it. The quality of sushi was just basic. It was so expensive too.
With Yammy Sushi you get exactly what you expect. Good service, good food. Clean environment. Mostly fair prices. But unlike that expensive place I went to before all of these roles were good. Every single one. And that super duper crunchy roll is pretty insane!! Definitely worth the cost!

When your hours are posted as 11:30 to 9pm one should be able to get lunch at two. I drove across town to have lunch at this place only to be greeted at the door by a woman saying "we are all going to take a break now." The place was half full...they were not the least bit apologetic. They would not seat me. Very bad business practice.
