I appreciate Sellands for what it is. That being a casual counter eatery that offers a concise menu of sandwches, salads, hot entrees, and desserts. To order, you stand in line to order and then pay. Be patient as folks in front of you make their selections and ask questions. Yes, there are others that live in the universe besides you.

What tricks me up each time are the ordering lines. I don't dine here often enough to commit all of that to memory. When in doubt, I recommend asking a staff member.

The hamburger is always a favorite of mine. Big juicy burger patty. The brioche bun is toasted. Fresh fixings. Pricing isn't outrageous. The banana coconut pudding parfait is another go to for me. It's vegan and dairy free and all so delicious! On my last visit, I ordered the red wine braised short rib. It was reheated as all their hot entrees are pre-made. It was not as tender as I anticipated it to be. But it did have a nice flavor.

The interior has a modern farmhouse look with a family friendly vibe. The wall to wall windows bring in a lot of light and relaxing views of the town center. The dining room has a lot of seating. There is also an outdoor patio. Since this is not sit down service, there isn't any pressure to rush your dining experience. Another tidbit is that they don't have restrooms on site; the public town center restrooms are located 'round the corner of the building.

These guys can't make good pizza. Why offer it then? They provided Burnt pizza too many times, and if you ask them to redo it, they undercooked it. Learn to bake pizza proper or find another job, wash floors perhaps instead, it is a fair comment.
They probably don't even understand and think I'm picky but to eat Burnt pizza with excessive charcoal is unhealthy, any decent person knows it, but they seem to be undereducated. Because I complained about this issue for a while now and they still haven't resolved.
Shame for Selland's. I don't think I'll order pizza here again, done with this, most I'll ever purchase here is a salad which they seem to do decent even though overpriced. Such a nice place in El Dorado Hills, sucks they just can't keep up to standards of quality.

We used to love this place! Sadly around a year ago they did an overhaul. I used to go there often for a quick meet up/lunch with friends and my family got takeout dinners faithfully one or two days a week. We especially loved their spaghetti Sundays and dinner is for two with a bottle of wine weekly specials. I realize with the cost of everything these days prices needed to go up from the initial dinner for two and a bottle of wine for $25 but the price is for what you get now is too expensive. The food is pretty good, but not at the price point it is now. We also miss the weekly specials because of the variety. The menu almost never changes not even the specials. Frankly, it’s boring. The people there have always been nice and I hope it makes it because EDH always seems to be losing restaurants. We’ve given it a try once or twice since the big overhaul And it always seems pretty dead in comparison to what it used to be. I wish they would consider at least adding back more variety to the menu and keep in mind that $60 for the short ribs there for instance where you order for yourself and sit at a community table or take food home is just not the right price point. Even if you just get a main course and a small cider too or small salad, the price adds up. And I agree with the people who say the pizza which is thin crust is often times burned.

This was my second visit to Selland’s. First time I had chocolate cake, but it was dry and I won’t get that again. This time I had the tiramisu and won’t get that again - tiramisu isn’t legit coming out of a jar. 🙂 (I rate restaurants based purely on their tiramisu, so I seriously adore it.)

The butternut squash lasagna (vegetarian) had great flavour and I’d eat it again. The house salad wasn’t worth the money.

I do enjoy the atmosphere and laidback style.

I was looking for a healthy post-lazy day meal so I thought a salad would be a decent choice. This marketplace looked like it had a cool vibe when I walked by earlier so I decided to give it a shot. The salad prices were around $17 with protein sources like chicken an extra $4-8 depending. I opted not to get a protein because I figured at $17 the salad would be a decent size and I really wasn't trying to spend more than $25 on a salad w/tip and tax to be accounted for later on.

I ordered the green goddess which said it has broccoli, cucumber, avocado, and gg dressing. I have to say for the price it didn't feel like a good value (hence the 4 stars). It definitely needed the protein option to make it seem more substantial but then at $20+ the value still wouldn't be there.

The service, the vibe, the beer was all great so maybe just don't order a salad.

Undeniably good food, but way over priced for a counter service restaurant. Value is nowhere near where it should be. Go to Jacks in Folsom for way better value prop and similar quality food.

Selland's is one of my favorite places to go! I usually get the turkey cobb and love that it's full of protein and lots of healthy fats. Plus sitting outside and getting to look out over the water is so nice on a warm day with their iced tea or a lemonade. Also, can't complain about a good burger and fries which I love here as well! Service is quick and just a nice vibe overall!

We visited this restaurant today. We actually took our food to go. Ordering was easy and they had a nice selection of different Sandwiches, Salads, Pizza and some various sides.
I ordered their Tri-tip which was cooked to perfection in my mind. Had great taste and a nice sized sandwich. Ordered some fries on the side. The fries tasted really fresh and good and were a good size serving.
My wife ordered the BLTA Sandwich which she really enjoyed and we split a Farmer’s Market Salad. Again nice sized Salad. Given that we had an Entree Salad (shared) and an order of fries, we both only ate 1/2 our sandwiches (Dinner later tonight - LOL)
Nice place - Good Food - Friendly Staff
