Service was quick. Their Bún bò Huế was lacking in flavor, so they compensated with Nước Mắm (Fish sauce). Barely tasted the actual broth. Otherwise, the noodle to toppings ratio was good, and the chilli hit the spot!Their Bánh Bèo was pretty good though, and the sauce for that wasn't too strong and over powering.Felt more like one lady was doing all the work, and the other was more interested at staring at her phone, but whatever!

This restaurant does not deserve a star from me. I took my siblings here yesterday. We order 6 items from the menu. One of the dishes, Bánh Nam La, was spoiled. After taking one bite, I have to spitted out because It tasted horrible like some one just vomited. I called the waitress and told her of the incShe immediately took the dish away before I have a chance to take the picture of the item. The manager came back to our table and claimed that there was nothing wrong to the item. We told her that we wished to cancel the order. We were charged for the item (see receipt attached). We received no apology from the restaurant manager. This is ridiculous because I have never seen such service in my live. I will never and ever return to this place or any of their sister restaurants. PS: I give 1 star so I can post my review.

Come try their Nem Lui, grilled skewers wrap, it's so good, you won't regret it. If you can, ask for fresh garlic and fresh chili. The dipping sauce is one of the best in town.

5 Stars is one of the many Viet spots in El Monte. Ordered take out and it was ready on time. Goi Cuon Tom Thit - $7.50 - 2 spring rolls. Decent and fresh. Expensive for the portion. 5 Stars Pho - $14.50 - Good broth. Meat was good. Not a fan of meatballs but this was the only pho option. Bun Ho Hue Large - $14.50 - Broth had nice spice. I loved the knuckle. Good portion size.
Despite the bad reviews and low yelp review, I'd say this place deserves a good review. They may not be the BEST Vietnamese restaurant, but their traditional Vietnamese appetizers are worth trying! I always come back for their Banh beo and some dishes that are wrapped in banana leaves!

Whenever I am craving vietnamese food, I grativate toward this restaurant. Every dish comes packed with flavor and it makes everyone happy! If you are a first-time patron here, definitely try the Banh Beo, Spring Roll, and Bun Bo Hue. These three dishes are what keep me a loyal patron - you just have to try it! I've had many spring rolls in my lifetime as a spring roll fanatic SO I can tell you these spring rolls are the best! It's comparable to my aunties who make them during family gatherings. The Bun Bo Hue broth flavor will make you feeling warm, fulfilled, and complete. Its great to have a sick day as well to-go. If you are feeling more like fresh veggies and grilled meat, definitely try the Nem Lui. It comes with grilled pork which you'll wrap in fresh veggies! The 5 Stars Hue Restaurant is a must try! Your taste buds will thank you :)

Good but not great. I appreciate that the place was very clean and service was really corteous. Among the dishes that we ordered, i like the nem lụi the most. The meat was very tender and flavorful. Highly recommend to order an extra serving of bánh hỏi to go along with the nem lụi. Price is reasonable.
