Chifa Joy is located on Garvey Ave in a plaza with a grocery store, where parking is easy. The no-frills restaurant has comfortable chairs and a decoration that gives a little Asian vibe. The staff are the friendliest, and the owner is a very kind, friendly, and welcoming man who speaks English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He is known to offer customers free drinks or soda.
The food is absolutely amazing Peruvian and Chifa cuisine. Dishes are bursting with authentic flavor, delicious, and made fresh. The lomo saltado is the best, using tender and juicy beef slices with crispy fries. Other favorites include the Aguadito de Pollo, which is comforting and perfectly seasoned; fresh, zesty, and flavorful ceviche; the Arroz Con Mariscos; the Tallarin saltado de chancho; and the Pescado a lo macho, which is to die for. Portions are great. The warm atmosphere and excellent service make it a highly recommended spot to visit again.
