The outside look made us hesitate but a friend suggested to go there because he knew the place. It is really disappointing that the owners like to have the interior dark, even when they have big windows they keep the blinds closed. No air conditioning either (at least it was off). The food has no flavor at all and the worse is that all the food we ordered was horrible! Tasted like old ingredients put together. Huevos Rancheros with no ranchero sauce, instead they poured something like refrigerated chips sauce on top. Every bite tasted like food on water. The same thing happened with steak ranchero and chilaquiles, the potatoes were undercooked and not seasoned..The food is just disgusting. We had to take some alka-seltzers as soon as we arrived home. Definitely not a place to go. I do not recommend any food at all. I read some of the good 5 stars reviews and I do not understand how they can describe a good culinary experience! May be we were in a different place? One thing for sure is that the wannabe Mexican food is plain gross.

Decent food and service. Don"t like the fact that they charged $1.95 service charge for using credit card.

I recommend the menudo! They make fresh tortillas daily. The French toast breakfast is also a good choice. They close early and get busy so best to go early.Parking: Corner shopping mallKid-friendliness: High chairs available and kid menuWheelchair accessibility: No stairs

Definitely a cute little Mom and Pop restaurant. My coworker suggested this cause it's quick and close to the job. The server was attentive and took great notes for each of our order. Came out with no issues. Fresh and well made. The French toast was prepared well and tasty. Prices were very reasonable too.

This is a nice mom and pop restaurant. The food is good. Good quantity and quality of the food served. Came here with my grandkids for breakfast before they started their day at school. We ordered the Polish Sausage and eggs, Breakfast Sandwich, Steak and Eggs and the French Toast Breakfast. It was delicious. The service is excellent and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and adds to its attractiveness.

The traditional American breakfast plates are very good. The chilaquiles verdes are a must try! The service is 10/10!

Love this place. Sign says they specialize in breakfast. Guess what. They do! Delicious breakfast food! My family loves their pancake breakfast, but I personally love their chorizo con papas! They serve it with rice and beans along with two eggs. My go to plate every time! Never disappoints.

I have to say if you're looking for a cozy place in El Monte to have breakfast at 6 am this would be the place . There's no distracting music, and the staff keeps food coming to the tables fresh and hot . They're polite people who are courteous and kind . Their restrooms are extremely clean. And that chicken fried steak looks amazing. I didn't get the chance to bring one home but knowing it's a favorite breakfast for more than a few people in my family I would have to say it looks and smelled impressive! Menu items here are reasonably priced and for the amount of food they serve it's an amazing value...! Gonna come back soon an add some pictures ! I was so impressed with the staff here no one had their hands in their pockets or a single excuse as to why they weren't working they were on their tasks with no lagging . This I like to see this is truly 5 star service!
