We of 9 lunched at Ahgoo Kitchen (嚐來) for a mini-reunion. Our friend highly recommended its Pan Fried Sesame Green Onion Cake. Therefore, we were here to taste it and other acclaimed dishes. For Appetizer, we ordered a tripartite including tasty Bran Dough. Some cold dishes including Shredded Potato ($6, 土豆絲) and Simmered Combination ($10, 攪合攪合). Both were delicious and the latter was spicy & hot! Jichoy with Minced Fish Soup ($9, 薺菜魚羹) as our main soup, it’s really good. And as main dishes which including Crispy Seawood Fish Fillet ($12, 苔條魚片), Shredded Pork with Bamboo shoot ($13, 桂竹筍肉絲), Beef & On Choy with Satey Sauce ($13, 沙茶空心牛), Shredded pork with dry bean curd ($11. 香干肉絲); Stir-fried Chinese Yam ($11, 清炒山藥), Fried Pumpkin with salty egg yolk ($10, 鹹蛋南瓜). It took time to prepare fried pumpkin and so needed pre-order. Nevertheless, it tasted really great. Absolutely worthy of pre-ordering. We certainly would not miss the main reason we here: Pan Fried Sesame Green Onion Cake ($9, 芝麻蔥花餅) and Pan Fried Sesame Cake ($6, 芝麻薄餅). They were chewy and tasty. We had a happy hour here without a drink.
