What more can be said. This wonderful restaurant offers some of the best Mexican food in Southern California. We ordered the torta de asada, taco superior de buche, asada nachos and an esquite. Every single bite was a wonderful experience. I added the mango habanero sauce to my torta and it paired so well, it added that sweetness to the torta that elevated the food. The taco was also absolutely amazing. None of the food was dry or bland, the tortilla was even delicious on its own. I would highly highly recommend stopping by for a quick bite and try the Aguas Fresca too!

I think service and food has gone down over the years!! First off, they don't even answer their phone for take outs!! 2nd, the new girl is terrible at taking orders. I kept repeating myself 5x to tell her one shrimp taco and two calamari tacos. What I got was two shrimp tacos and 2 calamari tacos. And I repeated myself so many times, that calamari is fried and shrimps are grilled!! Get someone that understands English and pays attention!!also, their nachos superior is not at all superior!! It's mediocre!! They used to have all kinds of colorful sauces, but this time around, it looked pretty plain with only guacamole and sour cream!! I even asked for extra sauces on the side in case they forgot, I used them all and was in need of more salsas!! Not so sure about going back there any time soon, I'll give them some time to get it right before I go back months down later!! 3 🌟 🌟🌟stars, I'm being generous for your lousy service!!

Its a decent spot , the carne asada has a lotta of fat tho ... and the salsa is what really makes it good . Lol ... the green sauce taste just like king taco 🔥 just a little bit darker ... if the prices were cheaper . I would give a 4 or 5 ... I come about once every 2 months since I live next door ...

The service is amazing. The staff are so patient and friendly! The tacos are was so delicious!! Also their salsa and homemade hot sauces are so good! Definitely recommend to get their dragon fruit drink if available! Also there are dog friendly tacos!! Only thing is parking, just find street parking.

Home made tortillas!!! The lady showed me her hands! Great fusion flavors. Don't go for the typical carne asada, it's okay, but I had duck and pork belly. Excellent!!
I always wanted to stop by this spot because of how cool they look. This spot is located right next to an auto stop. It gave me the feeling a hole in the wall. There were a few tables, and it gave me the vibes as if I was at Playa Del Carman in Cancun!
I love mulita, but they do not have it. The cashier lady recommended me to try vampiros as it is similar. Also, I saw cabeza is the secret menu, which is my favorite. I ordered a vampiros with cabeza, and a carne asada fries.
Both items were a disappointment unfortunately. The cabeza was tasteless, and it was very oily. The carne asada was overcooked, and the fries was soggy.
Price was a bit on the pricy side. I probably would not stop by again.

I had a last minute stop for a late lunch with my partner. We both got the carne asada fries, and they were delicious! The wait for the food was long, but the staff had warned us ahead of time because they were making the fries fresh. It was worth the wait. Ixmota Taqueria is located in an auto service shop area. There isn't really parking. We had to park in the neighborhood and then walk over to the restaurant.
