Were there between the 15th-16th of april. 2024The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy. With its themed handmade wooden chairs. The food we ordered was below average.Except for the fish and chipsWe ordered two vegi lazaganaAnd fish and chips. The fish was good and so was the chips. The lazagana was unfortunately bad.Overcooked veggies on the sides and a sour tomato sauce that ruined the sish completely. Was it worth the asking price no, as they charge airport prices.Second time we ate there,We ordered chicken masala with pilaf and french fries on the sideApple cider ( the waiter did not know what kind of cider they had)The chicken masla sause tasted like mushroom sause and i am pretty ahure there should not be an orange slice in.a chicken masala dishOverall disappointing.I suggest take your own food with yoy from the supermarket and make it in your room there is stove a pot and pans

This review is about the breakfast service. We didn't return for dinner because we opted for frozen burritos from the hotel's minimart instead of subjecting ourselves to more of this restaurant's "cuisine." Hopefully, you'll read this review before your trip (there's no reception in the area, so no way to check reviews on-site).We arrived at the River Restaurant & Lodge in the morning, gearing up for a full day in Yosemite. The place was empty except for a couple with long faces after their meal. We were seated quickly, and the server mumbled something we couldn't understand, so we asked to see the menu. There was no menu or other indication; the only option was a breakfast buffet, with the price undisclosed (found out when we got the check, $21.95 per person before tax/tip).We made our way to the buffet and picked up some items. All the food was unlabeled and looked very unappetizing — we should have left then. Grabbed some pancakes and French toast — how can you go wrong with those? Well, it turns out you can. The pancakes were lukewarm, rubbery, flavorless, the same size, and the same shape, suggesting they were frozen pancakes. The syrup was extremely watered down. The powdered sugar on the French toast had a grainy texture and was clumpy. Unsurprisingly, the French toast was dry and had a weird consistency. We also picked up a mini poppy-lemon muffin, and somehow it was slimy and wet on top.The food gave the impression that it had been cooked days prior and just reheated over and over, then served to a captive audience with no other options nearby: the definition of a tourist trap.If you're in the area, spare yourself from this experience and either grab something from the minimart or head directly into Yosemite for a better meal.Dietary restrictions: Food in the buffet was not labeled for allergies or dietary restrictions

Service was great! Our server handled everything quickly. Our food was good and came out of the kitchen very fast. The prices are very high but that is expected in a remote tourist area.

It’s a trap since very limited resource.Vegetable sit fry-rice was bitter, chicken Marsala was okay. Kids fettuccini was a joke. They even charge extra drink which we didn’t order. Please check your receipt before you pay. If you are planning to eat, stay in the park and have early dinner by welcome center. You will half the price, fresh food and better quality.

Just spent three nights here at Yosemite View Lodge and three breakfasts here at the only restaurant that opens at this time of the year. Sandy serviced us for all three breakfasts and she was always kind - the food was ok and nice to have something hot and warm when it was raining ice and snow….. and you are out of wifi … Thank you Sandy!

We had breakfast here whilst staying at Yosemite view lodge. Needless to say that was the one and only time we ate here. The breakfast itself was fine, a buffet with some hot options like bacon, waffles and scrambled egg but it is SO expensive. The bill came to $50 for 2 of us and the staff didn't seem to understand what we were saying half the time. On our second morning (check out day) we drove to Mariposa for breakfast and paid less than half the price for much better food. Unfortunately your food options are quite limited in the area so it was better than no breakfast at all, but we felt it was far too overpriced.

Sandy is the best waiter. She gave us a homely, mother-like greeting and a delicious breakfast, which gave us full energy for the three-day journey???

Is it food? Yes. Will you enjoy eating it? No. Let’s just say the condiments do a lot of the work here. The servers were very friendly. Keep driving 10 minutes south to Cedar House. 100 times better than this place.

Contrary to some reviews, we thought it was fabulous. A little higher in price, but understandable for the location. Food (pasta and burgers) were very good. Service was very good. Location is very good. Were there in January in the snow. Not very busy. Come back tomorrow :)

Service was like a ghost train, unmotivated, unfriendly, vegetarian omelette consisted of an omelette in which raw vegetables (zucchini, peppers, mushrooms) were wrapped, for a whopping $15

Snail speed, we waited almost an hour for our food, after a long day of hike, hungry and tired nobody wants to wait that long for food to come. We ordered three different entrees and they were all mediocre, small portion (we all left hungry), and each plate was around $35. If they are gonna charge like a mid range restaurant at least give an adequate amount of food.

You are eating here because you are staying at the Yosemite View Lodge. The food is average at best. We did enjoy the chicken wings with homemade BBQ sauce.

Food was ok for the high price.Quiet, relaxing atmosphere.Service, however, left much to be desired. Ordered fries as an appetizer and never received them. We waited 25 minutes to pay our bill after being handed the check, despite being one of only three tables.
