Stumbled onto this place after missing my flight and I must say, some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while! Definitely softened the blow of my travel snafu. Will be ordering from here in the future and maybe come early for flights just to grab a bite!

Jeeze where do I start. I was hungry and craving Chinese food while at work yesterday. My friend/coworker suggested this place. The first thing I always do is check Yelp reviews. 3.6 stars! Yikes...I read some of the bad reviews and it seemed like they had issues with the service. I was planning on getting my food togo so it didn't bother me as much. We decided to put in a phone order. We ordered salt and pepper chicken wings, Mongolian beef lunch special, and egg rolls. Let's start with the egg rolls. They were cold, soggy, and greasy. The Mongolian beef lunch was advertised to come with rice, soup, and a salad. The beef and rice were okay nothing to rave about, the egg flower soup was greasy and flavorless, and the salad hahaha okay so the "salad was literally 5 pieces of lettuce in the corner of the plate no joke. I couldn't believe they actually were advertising the few pieces of lettuce as a salad! I saved THE BEST part of the meal for last! The salt and pepper chicken wings. So the flavor wasn't bad at all, actually they were pretty good until I got to the part that was COMPLETELY RAW! That's right uncooked chicken!!! Always the best part of the meal when salmonella is an option! So after all this happened within 5 minutes of sitting down back at work to eat, we decided to call the place and let them know about the chicken. The first lady that answered the phone did not speak English well so she passed the phone along to another associate. The second lady proceeded to argue with us stating that the chicken marinade makes the chicken look that color without actually seeing the chicken. I know what RAW chicken looks like so there is no way that is caused by some marinade. She finally agreed to issue a refund but we had to return the chicken (now she's just being extra). So about 30 minutes later we drive back to this location and the lady continued to argue while looking at the RAW chicken. She wouldn't refund the rest of the meal since we did not bring it back. Oh I almost forgot...they do not know how to pack togo food properly!!! They put the egg rolls at the bottom of the bag and the Mongolian beef on top. The Mongolian beef was placed in a container that does not hold liquid well while the chicken was in a container that kept them steaming which made them kinda of soggy. Please if you're thinking of coming to this place...DONT!

I love this place ! Best Chinese food in town. The food is consistently good, the portions are great and the service is always quick and friendly. Been here a few times but we also get it delivered all the time. (They deliver for free in el segundo!) I will be back. Many many times.

I waited 1.5 hours for my food. In the entire time not even one employee checked on me. I had to ask three times why it’s taking so long. I understand it’s new year but some customer service would be nice to at least check on your guest. Very disappointed and my food was cold, which means it was just sitting

I called to discuss my failed order. They did not answer multiple times, hung up, then claimed they were too busy. BUT they took my money. Stoopid. Never again.

This place is like hell for delivery drivers. They set order is ready, but you’ll have to wait minimum 20 min for any order. They lie about eta. Me, personally, will not complete any order for them no more.

Excellent food. SanFran/New York level Chinese. I advise you drop into this joint. We had Mandarin chicken.

Came here for lunch, there were 10 of us. We were seated in a cramped round table that we couldn't sit comfortably. They opened up the front door for fresh air where the flies buzzing around. Food was just ok.

The food is hit or miss. I hate that. Inconsistent food is so annoying because because it's really good one day and you go back and it's not good at all.

We did the takeout from this place because we were in the area and needed to pick up some dinner. I was a little skeptical because the place looked super empty when we walked in but the food we got was delicious. There used to be another Chinese place in Playa Del Rey we used to love but they closed during pandemic, well Canton Low just topped that one. The egg drop soup was so much better, the egg rolls were to die for, shrimp low mein was delicious. We will be back for sure.

We ordered Human Style Chicken minimal amount of chicken the broccoli overwhelmed this dish .,also the salt and pepper fish very dry fish covered with flour batter no flavor .not worth 16.50 . The waitress was more concerned with the to go order then the customers in the restaurant. We ordered egg rolls which were brought to our table after my husband reminded the waitress half way through our meal . The entire meal gave my husband and I extreme cramps diarrhea .We spent 62.85 to become very ill . We are not returning to this establishment due to food quality and the service was unacceptable .

Food was abysmal, the only reason their ratings are high is because all the high ratings are from white people who dont know what real, quality chinese food tastes like. The orange chicken doesnt even taste like chicken (5-1 breading to meat ratio), bland fried rice (how do you even mess up fried rice, my home made one is better at this point), threw the wonton soup out, only thing decent was the broccoli but anyone can steam vegetables. Even panda express beats this restaurant.

My favorite dish at Canton Low is Kung Pao Chicken lunch special. It is served with a small salad, fried or white rice, and egg drop or hot sour soup. The portions are large and I usually take home half the rice and entree. The peppers in the entree are toasted enough that they are edible (if you dare). At other restaurants, the peppers in the Kung Pao dish are too tough to eat. There are more than a dozen other lunch special choices. I've been eating at Canton Low for decades! Love it!

Kung Pao is really missing the PAO, I'm not sure if this is authentic Chinese. I tried the Kung Pao and honestly, it has 0 spice It is more like orange chicken because it was so sweet. I see the chillisi in there but not even a kick of spice. The fried rice had good flavor, but the chicken and the beef were missing many flavors. I think I'll stick to Panda for my Kung Pao chicken around this area.
