Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Edit-After speaking with the manager, I actually went back to try the food once again & was pleasantly surprised. The food was much better than the previous time. I will be back. I am unsure what happened in the kitchen previously, however the food this time was exceptional.

I’ve been coming to this place for a few years now, Especially to watch sports games and just get out. Hopdoddy has very nice atmosphere and ambience and great service. There’s one employee who works the bar often and he’s super cool exceptional customer service. However, the reason for the lower rating is the FOOD. The food is honestly not that great at all. Nasty even. The burgers are bland. I prefer shake shack much more and the chicken strips are way too greasy. I’ve given them several chances ordering different burgers and different chicken strips and have had the same result each time. The chicken strips literally pour & drip with grease as you take a bite. Gross. And the food is very expensive for some reason Google says 10 to 20 but for two people you’ll easily spend 60 to $70 without drinks. The sides, fries and brussels sprouts are decent, however, the fries are very bland. But they do have great dipping sauces so that helps. Anyway, this is a cool spot. Hopefully the kitchen can get it together. Unfortunately I will not be back unless it is just for a drink and vibes maybe?

The bun was the best part about this burger- it was soft and pillowy. The burger was pretty mediocre, nothing crazy about it. The fries were fine too, no seasoning or anything and just normal fries. The food is good but there isn't anything special about them that'd make me choose this place over another.

Hire a real bartender or train the ones you have. Those drinks are disgusting. Wasted my money put to my salt in the margarita didn’t taste like a margarita I don’t know what it was I had to pour lemonade in it to get it to taste OK but at the end of the day I didn’t even drink the drink I just left it on the table drinks are disgusting salad was good sweet potato fries was OK the lady at the register tried to warn us about the drink she was like get some water he gave us cups she knew those drinks was gonna be disgusting and I wish she would’ve told me cause I wouldn’t waste my money on that Where are you

Hopdoddy in El Segundo never disappoints. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the parmesan fries are addicting, and the draft beer selection is on point. The service is friendly and quick, and the overall vibe is super fun and laid-back. It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite and a drink with friends. Love coming here—definitely recommend!

Every burger I've tried so far has been great! They do a perfect medium which most burger places shut away from nowadays.

Burger and fries was ok, just way overpriced. Been better off going to McDonald’s. Save your tip, they don’t do anything for you. The lady at the counter needs better customer service training, or she just hates her job. Won’t be back.

Oh my goodness! This place was amazing! The food was incredible and the beer was ice cold! There were 15 of us dining in and Hopdoddy accommodated us all and delivered! It is a must stop!

My experience was amazing like always! My family and I have been coming to this HD location almost every Saturday for 4 years at least. And everytime it is just as good as the time before. Coming to Hopdotty is practically addictive. A highlight other than the amazing food is Dustin at the bar. He is always making our experience a 10/10. Never have I felt like I needed a drink because Dustin's service is always keeping us topped up. You rock Dustin, couldn't have a great Saturday without you!!

I love the burgers, fries, and beers here at Hopdoddy. The food all taste great and the beer comes out in a huge margarita glass. The last visit they gave me a promotion scratcher and my daughter scratched out a win for a cheeseburger but it turns out the cheeseburger prize could potentially be cheeseburgers for a year. So they tell me to go to my table and they would me check me out after all the details were sorted. Shortly after we received our food, the manager and waiter came over with a gold envelope. My daughter opened the envelope and we won a $50 dollar gift card. So not quite the grand prize but afterwards when we went to pay they said its on us just leave a good review. We never win anything so this was quite a good dinner to remember for us.

We frequent this place on a weekly basis. We've tried every hamburger, fries and bowl they offer, we are rarely disappointed with their food. We decided to go yesterday evening with our son. The place was NOT crowded at all, the bar was completely empty. We sat at the bar expecting to get service but it was the worst service we ever had at this place. The service had been so-so for a while but then it got really good! Hot food, good fries and the Larry's!!! But last night was an epic fail. We sat down at the bar, the bartender acknowledged us but that was it! Never asked what we wanted to drink, took another walk up person order before ours and even then we waited. The drinks were not of the same caliber as the evening before, the Larry's were sour and the pineapple bellíni didn't have any pineapple. The food came out at a decent time but after she clear the bar we had to wait again for the check. I decided to take a hamburger to go and that took 25 minutes. I know there can be glitches in a day and the place had been doing well. I do have to say that someone came out earlier in the evening and asked if everything was okay, our fault for not saying something then. The bartender was very nice and friendly, service people as well. Something was way off with them last night. I hope they can course correct themselves. The food was delicious and quality good. We may need to find another location to try. Come on El Segundo step up!!! We love you and would rather stay than leave!
