The food and service were good but it smelled really bad - like really caustic cleaner - and we couldn't enjoy our food so left early.
Enjoyed a nice birthday dinner recently. They gave a complementary birthday dessert....Very classy.
Uhhmm, I'm gonna "pass".
Says everything about a place, in a strip mall.
Never ever heard language like that before.

The side/back room area with the books was very loud and sound was bouncing off the walls where it was hard to have conversation, especially with a table of loud girls behind us.
Amazing food, definitely going back weekly. Can't wait to try their new Taco restaurant.
Unfortunately, our experience at Jame Restaurant was disappointing due to poor service. The waitress who attended us was inattentive and dismissive. We had to call her multiple times before getting any response, and when she finally came, she seemed uninterested. Without us asking, she brought the check before we had even finished, without offering dessert or coffee. We had to request them separately, which made the experience feel rushed and unwelcoming.
While the food was good, the service left much to be desired. A restaurant’s atmosphere is shaped not just by its menu but by the hospitality it provides, and in this case, it was lacking.

A solid choice for a casual Italian meal. We started with the meatballs, which were flavorful and well cooked, paired with a rich tomato sauce. For the main course, the spicy rigatoni had a nice kick and was cooked just right, simple but satisfying. The service was fast and friendly, making for a smooth dining experience. While Jame isn't a high end Italian restaurant by any means, it does a good job at what it sets out to do. If you're looking for a laid back spot with good food and a welcoming atmosphere, it's definitely worth checking out.
The food was great and it came out pretty quick. We dined indoors and it was pretty loud. The staff provided great service. When they brought out something that was incorrect, they quickly fixed it.
We generally love this restaurant and love the food, but last night we came for the Valentine’s Day dinner and the ball was definitely dropped. The food had no flavor and we ordered about four different appetizers and an entrée and it just wasn’t the same. Also, our waiter was impatient and forgetful, which made the experience not great either we may give this place. Another chance just because previous they did have really great food, but unfortunately, for larger events, they need to pay more attention to detail and create a better atmosphere for a better dining experience.. How was that?

I was really excited to try this place with my friends for a Girls night but after having the meatballs, I felt sick instantly. I was the only person in my group who ate them and I couldn't eat anything for the rest of the night and had to leave early because I kept feeling sick. My friends left with me and when I informed the manager the next day to tell her what happened she seemed nice and said she would look into it. It's been five days and I haven't heard back from the manager. I have never gotten so violently ill from any restaurant. I went to urgent care the next day and I had been told I had gotten food poisoning. I'm a blogger and I think I've tried it all but truly was disappointed by this dining experience and by the management.

Nothing special… if the service is good, it would have been ok, but the service is really bad.
Servers don’t pay attention to their “guests.” They don’t explain the menu which is very pretentious and as soon as the food is served, they don’t even look at you anymore. Good luck getting their attention.
No thank you, no come again, we’re like invisible to them when we left. I could have gone without paying but I feel bad for the owner…. Evaluate your employees!

Beautiful restaurant! The flavors are excellent. I ordered the scarpinocc which had an incredible brown butter sauce. The flavors of the dishes are truly incredible. However, we also got the mandilli, a thick pasta with a creamy pesto sauce, and the pasta was overcooked. It was all sticking together like one big lump, and I have never been served an overcooked pasta at an Italian restaurant, so that was crazy.
They have happy hour at the bar daily from 3-5.
I've been here twice in the last couple months and can wholeheartedly say the only pasta you need to order is the spicy rigatoni.
I've tried the mushroom lasagna, cacao e pepe, and paccheri as well and sadly none even come close. They were all just okay. The spicy rigatoni is wonderful though.
I'd also highly recommend the brussel sprouts and warm ciabatta. That umami butter + olive oil combination is AMAZING! Shoutout to the kale salad too. This might be the only place I like vegetables more than some of the pasta.
Lovely staff. We sat outdoors and they provided plenty of heat lamps. (@roaming.eater)

I recently had the opportunity to visit Jame in El Segundo with a large group of 11 adults and 2 children on January 3, 2025. While the food was exceptional and deserving of 5 stars, the overall experience was marred by poor value and subpar service.
To start, I made a reservation on December 11, 2024, and later increased the party size which triggered a requirement to work with an Event Coordinator and limited us to a "Prix Fixe" menu. This menu offered two pricing options: $70 or $80 per adult. We opted for the $80 per adult option to get the Rib-eye.
However, upon reviewing the menu and the dishes served, I was shocked to discover that we were charged $340 more than the standard menu price. The dishes served were not family-style portions, but rather individual servings that we were forced to split among the whole group. For a group of 13 we were served only 3 dishes of each of the following:
$10 Ciabatta plate
$17 Brussel Sprouts
$18 Caesar Salad
$20 Meatballs
$25 Spicy Rigatoni
$25 Tagliatelle Al Ragu
$45 Rib-eye
Desserts (assumed to be $10 each)
If we had ordered these dishes from the standard menu, the total would have been $540. Instead, we paid $880, which is a significant markup! Even if we had been given 4 dishes of each course, it would have been $720 from the standard menu.
The service was also severely lacking. Despite working with the Event Coordinator, we were not greeted upon arrival, and no one explained the menu or the courses. Having arranged the party with my family, I knew the menu and was apparently expected to explain it to my group. No one even asked us what we were celebrating or attempted any personal communication. We had to ask multiple times for water, and even then, we were only brought one carafe for the entire group. Please note the receipt, we only ordered 6 alcoholic drinks the whole meal so we weren't over-taxing the bar.
Overall, I was disappointed and it was incredibly embarrassing for me to have everyone hungrily looking around for more food and politely try to offer each other the last meager bits of food on the serving plates. The food was delicious, but the value and service were not justified by the exorbitant cost. If you're planning to visit Jame with a large group, be aware of the potential for overpricing and poor service.
