Excellent Japanese food. I got takeout: the Gindara Saikyoyaki Bento. It was delightful. Excellent service.

I'm going to have to come back because it's a lovely spot, and I want to actually sit and enjoy in the establishment next time.

Highly recommend. And El Segundo is a very pleasant, calm downtown to visit if you're waiting around for a flight, like I was. It can be fun to go up to Venice where all the excitement is, but I'm grateful that I had a nice calm afternoon in El Segundo this time. And my fantastic supper here was part of it.

Tiny, homey environment: a hole in the wall with authentic food. The searing setup like dining with friends and neighbors. Everything I ate was delicious, and the servers were super sweet and accommodating. It was FREEZING in there. The server noticed my discomfort, asked if I was cold, and adjusted the AC. I appreciated that. I found street parking easily.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The food is amazing. I also love the little sushi bar in the back perfect for when you’re by yourself or on a date, the giant communal table is fun too when you’re with a large crowd.

The food is good but everything came cold, not very good for tempura!
Overall, this is an ok place, a little bit overpriced for my taste.

Great place for Katsu and other Japanese staples. The service was super kind and helpful, and the individual booths looked like a great place to sit and have a chat.

We got a the Demi-glace set meal and the katsudon set meal, both of which were gigantic and well worth the price. I liked the Demi-glace Katsu better, but both were worth it. The sushi it came with was great, along with the other sides. We got the takoyaki as well which was great.

Walking in transports you to a Japanese restaurant in the heart of Kyoto. Authentic Japanese experience from the atmosphere to the food. The reserved tables are private and wall facing, like in many Japanese spots. Curry udon had a rich heat that was balanced well by the smooth udon noodles and tender chicken. Pairs well with the chicken Katsu which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Happy hour hand rolls were good most notably the eel and yellowtail. Decent price point
