This is my cheers! I travel ALL the time and come here after I land if I’m lucky enough to be on time. 9 times out of 10 I sit at the bar, and talk to Seung, who by the way makes the most amazing spicy tuna roll you have ever had! Sharon is amazing and makes everyone feel like family. Sometimes I want to be basic, and sometimes I want the crazy rolls, but I am always happy when I eat here! The bathrooms are so clean I could eat off the floor. Do yourself a favor, come to kaya!

Kaya Sushi in Inglewood was… fine. Solid 3.5/5. I had the bluefin nigiri, a yellowtail hand roll, and one of their specialty rolls. Everything fresh, fish quality decent, but exactly what you’d expect—nothing more, nothing less.
The bluefin? Good. But didn’t have that melt-in-your-mouth richness that really makes great nigiri shine. Yellowtail hand roll was wrapped nice, rice to fish ratio on point, but nothing that made me stop and go wow. Specialty roll? Tasty enough. But kinda just there.
If craving sushi, sure, it works. But travel for it? Nah. Too many better spots in LA to bother.

Terrible sign and online says closes at 9pm we showed up at 815pm and they closed it right before we went inside.

Pretty good sushi. Not the best but pretty good. I thought that atmosphere was nice and the service was good. It was rather expensive for two people but then adding everything is super expensive these days. I would definitely go there again.

One of my top sushi rolls. If you are vegetarian do not pass on ordering the spicy tofu roll! Texture was crunchy and so flavorful! Love as well the garlic edamame. ? service amazing !
Vegetarian options: Very considerate in cross contamination and allergies.

The best sushi in California!! My girl Sharron is the best host ever. I visit LA once a year to spend time with family, and it's a must to eat there.

The food itself is good. However, for the price you don't really get what you pay for. Service is basic at most, no engagement past "do you want anymore rolls?" Or "you want another drink" it's just not worth it. You get a similar flavor at smaller Japanese restaurants.
