Fancy Mexican! It's some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten.
Could have used more kids friendly options that are more classic or basic (ex: white rice option - quesadilla with flour tortillas not corn)

This was the perfect spot to have lunch! Beautiful outside seating space that allows dogs, friendly service (thank you so much to Karina H!!), the drinks and especially the food. So delicious!!

My favorite items are the Charred corn elote appetizer. I could have two of these. It’s fantastic. I also love the arroz con pollo!!!!! ? quick tip, if you’re ordering ahead to go, they make the arroz con pollo for 6 people for 96 dollars. I also love their ceviche. Their service is amazing too!!!! Now all they need is some live music.

As a visitor to the area, I was welcomed like family! Great mixed drinks (Mojito and Latin Lover), amazing food (Scottish Salmon and Plantains), and such a kind, caring atmosphere. Highly recommend and I hope to be back soon!

This is one of our weekly go-to spots. Great drink selection. Great happy hour. The hosts are wonderful and make sure you're taken care of, even when the place is packed.
Parking: Parking in some lots is free after 6pm. Immediately close (in proximity) street parking is a mix of free and metered; mostly free. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, you can find free street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods/side-streets. There are a few lots that are close and there's a parking garage up the hill on main(?) street. Finding AVAILABLE parking is the harder part. The area tends to get packed in the evenings, especially Thursdays (there are a ton of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. in the immediate area...and they all do good business...so parking gets tight).

Had a lovely dinner at Sausal last night. Our waiter, Benjamin, was fantastic and had great energy. I enjoyed the Arroz con Pollo and would highly recommend it to anyone. The rice is so special, and the chicken- holy moly, so tender and flavorful with the lightest crisp on the skin. We also ordered the shrimp fajitas, which were a hit as well! Overall great experience!
I’ve now been for brunch/ lunch, and dinner and can say that the only thing that didn’t hit my palette right was the chicken enchiladas with the cashew sauce. Mainly just the sauce didn’t hit. Literally everything else has been phenomenal.

Really enjoyed this upscale Mexican restaurant in downtown El Segundo for date night with my wife. Mixed drinks were very well done. Recommend the El Viejo. Food has decent portions and rich flavors. Great ambiance, stylish bar area, comfortable seating, & warm lighting. I think we'll be back. Love the area, but this spot is an upgrade to the nearby bars and breweries.
